Quoted: I dont get it!? How do you win an airsoft game?

It varys depending on how the organizers set up. Generally, though, everything done in paintball games (both big and small) is done in airsoft games. Straight elimination, capture the flag, 'missions' based on real life scenarios. It's really only limited by the time available and the money spent on it.
For instance my local monthly game is $25 for the day and we mostly play straight elimination and maybe a few escort or capture games. Nothing exceptionally complicated. Games will last as long as people are still 'alive' or to a short time limit (say 30min to an hour). When I went to Op Lion Claws 2 though we paid $150 and played an entire weekend. The scenarios were much more complicated, and sometimes changed in the midst of a scenario.

But the airsofters...are they some super human breed of honest people?

No, but generally the people who cannot trust other players to call their hits aren't the kind of people who call their own. They will usually aviod the sport because of that. You have problems sometimes but everybody playing knows that the honor of the players is the only thing holding it together. Attitudes adjust.

Though I know you're making light, you really are right. It's basicly just escapist entertainment. I have never met anybody who's played for an length of time that really thinks they're some super commando because we shoot bbs at eachother.
