I'm an alarm installer with more than 30 years of hands on installation.
My system has more layers than the "White House"
Every quality product I ever installed in a home is part of my system.

I have not gone to Mote/Drawbridge or Claymore/Machine gun towers YET.

I would need a safe the size of Michael Moore to fit them so I decided to go wild on the house.

I am also a locksmith and have that well covered also.

What do most of you do?

ARDog

PS email me for alarm advice and I will do my best to educate.

Just wrote a check for $2,400.00 yesterday for a big Heritage safe.  Man. that is a hard check to write, your basically buying a fancy secure CLOSET to store your guns in.

The real stuff remains hidden.

I've got a multi-layer alarm system in my house as well as a big ass safe.  I also do what i can to make my home unattractive to buglars with motion lights, landscaping and common sense stuff such as not leaving laddders out etc.  I think that the main thing is to not advertise that you have a lot of guns.

Safes and Alarms are about as exciting as buying tires.

All I got is a safe, and some real nosey neighbors to keep watch when I'm not here.

I store the collection in the Attic, I keep the protectors handy.

I am usually working on or admiring a couple.

I keep my safe in a safe and then roll a giant  jimmy over the whole thing, leaving air in the tip.

I've got one of those high-powered assault rifles that can shoot through schools.  Damned thing is liable to go off at any time and shoot a passerby or kitten.  No thief or toddler is going to get past that and to my large collection of single shot rifles and shotguns secured by trigger locks behind which I have hidden my .38 and my .22.
