It's not my problem that you can't control crime in New York City. You don't have the guts to do what is necessary to stop crime. It wouldn't look "politically correct". Look at the profile of who is causing the "gun crimes".

I think that wraps it up right there. Their city is out of control and in order to make them feel better, they have to blame it on everyone else. The voters need to clean house and get some grassroots polititions in there who know how to fight crime with gonads the size of TEXAS.

2.  The speaker does have a point that, just by passing a law making guns illegal in New York City (or Washington, DC for that matter), this has done nothing to stop guns from coming into the city. What they need is to seal the city like Belfast was a few years ago if they want to keep guns out. Keep in mind it is the criminals, not law-abiding citizens, that are ignoring the gun prohibitions. This situation would not change if guns were outlawed throughout the US. Only the honest people would turn in their guns, and then they would be at the mercy of the armed criminals.

3. WTF are "cop-killer bullets"? Every bullet ever made will kill a human if it strikes the right body part. Is this just more liberal blather about "safer bullets"?

4. Since when did the NRA support the possession of illegal guns?

5. Let's pound the drum some more about .50 caliber sniper rifles and other miitary-style assault weapons. The AWB died a welcome death in September 2004. May it never have life again.

6. Everyone should remember that "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

7. The other point to keep in mind is that the Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is about citizens defending themselves from all enemies, foreign and domestic, including a goverment run by tyrants.
