I don't wear shoes with shoelaces because I can't handle the responsibility.

Tennis shoes...single.

Boots....double.

I've never thought about that I do it differently.

I wonder why I'm weird??

Neither. This knot is the heat...

Plus I leave my laces long enough so that, after the initial overhand in the front, they can take one turn around the back of the boot then be tied in the front with the above knot. That way if one breaks I have more than enough lace to tie it back together.

double... singles have to be re-tied to often.

Boots and sneakers, double, because the round laces untie so easily. Whatever happened to flat laces? Why doesn't anything except my Chuck Taylor's use them anymore?

For boots, I also leave it tied and undo the laces over the hooks, so it's a lot easier to put them on.

For dress shoes, single knot.

Is that like the nice way to say you're old and if you bend down to tie them, you pee a little ?
