When away from the board for a while and I want to catch up, I usually load up ARFCOM and hit the active topics, then go to page 10, read it, then go to previous page, 9, then 8, and so on until page 1.
This works ok but by the time you get to page 1, the original topics might be on page 3 or something and you've missed them.

So here's what I do, with Firefox and using the tabs feature. I have a AR15.com folder in my personal toolbar folder and in it a subfoler named Active Topics, in Active Topics I have a link to active topics page 1 through 10

Personal Toolbar Folder - > Boards

Boards -> AR15 Active Topics

folder entry: Active Topics page 1
folder entry: Active Topics page 2
folder entry: Active Topics page 3
folder entry: Active Topics page 4
folder entry: Active Topics page 5
folder entry: Active Topics page 6
folder entry: Active Topics page 7
folder entry: Active Topics page 8
folder entry: Active Topics page 9
folder entry: Active Topics page 10

I highlight AR15 Active Topics and scroll to bottom of menu and choose :Open in tabs"

Bam! !0 pages of active topics for a snapshot in time, I can read any page and be fairly assured I wont see the same topic again on page 1 because they've been replied to since reading that page or losing a topic because it got bumped to a later page
