According to Tony at Tromix, those CDNN days are over. Prices are going to be substancially higher for the new Saigas.

I like mine a lot.

Although i will admit that I wish the bolt was held open automatically after the last round fired so that a new mag could be put in easier.

I also wish someone would make a one piece pistol grip stock so that I didn't have to do the conversion.

This guy is pre ordering them. Not bad $$$ dont know if thats a good price or not but seems reasonable. Bottom left square.

There is a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips, my son...

www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=4&f=80

I have 2 Saigas which both work very well.  Mags are expensive and rare.  Cool factor is very high.

saigas are banned in NJ?  wow that's taking this to a pretty low level.  Didn't think they could go lower than banning M1 carbines, but.....

on a good news front, I just purchaseda  tromix saiga 308 hi cap mag, one of first prototypes.

Check out saigacentral.com for some prices.   It's better than some of the pre-order prices I've seen.

My dad got a Saiga .410 cheap, and he's killed a truckload of pheasants with it. It has zero recoil, and is reliable like an AK. If I remember correctly it only held five rounds, but you could unload so fast and so smoothly it was almost like one long continuous shot. The first time I shot it I wasn't sure the gun had gone off, if the clay wouldn't have broken I would have thought it was a misfire.

OK here is the deal.

A guy here in AZ is going to be making 10 round mags.

AZEX is doing the conversions.

I take one if i had the money right now, as long as i could get some 8rd mags for it and a 16 inch barrel

18 inches is minimum length for non-NFA shotgun.
