I have a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun for sale on GunBroker.com. The serial number is "C" 1126xx which indicates that it was probably made sometime around 1899-1905. Does the buyer need to send me a copy of an FFL or would a C&R be OK for me to ship to them in this case?

c&R should be fine, if your sure on the date anything made before 1954 falls into the 50 year rule and c&r is good to go.
