For arfcom engineers. I am going to graduate in May as a chemical engineer and will be imidiantly entering industry. I was wondering what time I should wait untill I take the EIT/FE exam?
Also, how long after I take EIT should I wait to take the PE exam.
I plan on begining to study as soon as I graduate and was wondering what studying materials you recomend.
Thanks!

I thought the EIT was pretty easy, took it 1 year after grad. Used my friend's Kaplan(?) material, not sure you really need much if you are fresh out of school.

Take it as soon as possible. If you have any prepatory classes available, get in it. The EIT(FE) was tougher than the PE, I thought. You will want to check with your State Board to determine when you become eligible to take the PE, typically after X amount of years after passing the EIT(FE) and X amount of years working under a registered PE.

Study Materials. Lindeburg, it is my most referenced book that I use.

I don't know anything about chemical engineering. My degree is a general(electrical/mechanical), but I took the PE in Civil/Transportation and that is what I do on a dialy basis.

Good luck.
