My vote goes to Medal of Honor. I just got through playing some of the original game (which came out in '99, makes me feel old) and its the only one of the series that counts groin shots. It has a rating for that too, Homewrecker.

I love getting the headshots too. My favorite is with a bazooka or a grenade. Its sooo cool to hear a grenade go *tonk* and then asplode right after contact.

Did they have Rainbow Six on the PS2? I know it was on XBOX and it rocks.

Not sure I would call MG:S an FPS game. I played that for about 15 minutes and never could get used to that damned 2.5person perspective.

Burnout series. Really fun. Makes for a good night with the guys, drinking beers passing the controller around wrecking cars and stuff.

Um, try to get it used... The AI characters are useless and you can only carry four items at a time.

Ill vote for Medal of Honor for FPS.

RE series are also my favorites any of you who like RE and haven't gotten RE4 yet NEED to play it. It's the best of the franchise.

Resident Evil 4.

Even though its not FPS

ITs more like parrot person shooter, as you are over his shoulder the whole time.

IT IS A BADASS GAME!!!

Not an FPS, but the absolute best PS2 game is:

Guitar Hero....seriously.
