I'm not too impressed. If I want to fuck up somebody's wrist, I guess that's a good load, but losing that much weight after only passing through a wrist kinda makes me doubt the penetration abilities. Of course, I don't like lighter weight bullets in ANY application for defense.

Discuss.

After going through all the bone in the hand and wrist I'd think that's a lot left.

Complacency is the worst enemy.
However, it is totally RETARDED to pull the trigger with your hand in front of muzzle!

That would be a collosal downer.

At least he didn't lose a trigger finger doing that.

What idiot doesn't check to make sure the gun is clear before pointing a gun at his hand and squeezing the trigger?

135gr is a bad choice for defensive purposes anyway.  I use the 180's

I'm with Dusty. After striking bone I think it did it's job quite nicely.

depends on how you look at it.   we'd probably all be safer if he had.

Same here. 165gr RA40T's or 180gr Hydra-Shoks

The Federal HS PD ammo was designed to be brutal even when shot from the little Glocks.

Federal spent alot of money to see that it did.

If you carry the G26, 27, or the baby .45s... the Federal HS PD ammo wouldn't be a wrong choice.

Dave S

Me?  I carry Corbon Pow'r Ball in my Kimber Custom Eclipse and Browning HP.  The G35 humps Rem 165gr Golden Saber BJHP.  The G35 can't group Pow'r Ball into a trash can lid at 15yds from a rest.  The Kimber and Browning group under 6" from a relaxed Weaver stance... under 3" from a rest @ 25yds.

You 5" 1911 humpers want to see your pistol rotate parallel to the ground after each shot... yepper, even you big boys... try some Rem 185gr Golden Saber BJHP  +P.

First: Damn, ow.

Second: Looks the the round did it's job given the small amount of tissue and bone it had to deal with.  Made a real mess of his hand.

I like the Golden Sabre's, been playin' with the Hornady 200gr +P & non +P TAP JHP's.
Those +P's rock out of a 4"!

Hydra-Shok is old tech. Good 15-20 years ago. Currently, Gold Dot, Golden Sabre, FederalHST and Winchester Ranger SXT are all rated much better.

I use the Hydra-Shoks until my shipment of Rangers comes in.

He handles firearms professionaly (according to him) and he:

1. Pulled the trigger w/ his other hand in front of the muzzle
2. Calls a magazine, a CLIP!

Most of my HP stockpile are 180 Gold Dots and Golden Sabres.  Most of the stockpile is Golden saber.  I was able to score 400 rounds for $75 a couple of years ago at a gun shop's going out of business sale.

All I know is they were so similar that Glock sued for copyright infringement and cleaned Smith and Wesson's clock in court.  The exact settlement has been kept private, but the Sigmas produced after the suit were some of the worst POSs ever.  About a year ago they came out with a new, still moderatly bad, design.  Internal function is changed enough to make Glock happy but it all looks like glock to me on the inside still.
