Hey guys I'm getting a glock 19 and need a holster. Are these fobus holsters any good. What kind of holster should I get and how much do they cost. It will be for CCW. I kind of like the nice leather pancake holsters but that will have to wait d/t cash flow.

Go with something made from Kevlar so you will be protected when your Glock goes kaboom.

Fobus is nice for certain applications but they do stick out a little - you're gonna see your weapon printing under your shirt. Get a pancake and an inside the pants holster for starters. You're gonna need a few regardless, trust me.

IMO fobus = Junk. Galco is a good brand thats not too terribly expensive. I have owned a few nice holsters and they don't get any better than the milt sparks Versa max 2 for IWB concealed carry. The Threat Solutions UCR is a nice Kydex IWB holster for around 50-60 that works well with a glock.

I don't like Fobus myself. For deep cover, I like Uncle Mike's. They put the gun below the waistband.

Buy a good one the first time, or you will end up with a shoebox full of holsters you don't use anymore.

Let me the first to post something useful.

Nice, quality holster that won't be thrown away immediately.  As soon as you can, buy a very good holster, it is as important as having a weapon.  A poorly made holster will fail you.

I would recommend, based on experience, that you not buy a Fobus.
