Not if the Republicans maintain a majority in the Congress and keep the White House. If that should not happen then all bets are off, and we can expect another AWB in our future, just as a start.

If Condi is on the ticket...it must be for president...when you put a woman on as VP it cries deperation. People, regardless of the facts of the matter, think you are pandering to the female vote when you put one on as VP. If Condi runs, it must be for Pres or nothing. |

36% of gunowners votes for Kerry (posted in another thread). Even here on ARFCOM i am sure there are AWB supporters. We could not organize our way out of a wet paper bag. Some hate the GOA, some the NRA, some everyone, not to mention the varied opinions on gun laws etc. We cannot even all agree to that the 2nd is an individual right. |

I wouldn't use "wiping his ass with the constitution", since damm near everyone in public office could be said to be doing that. The main part is that he has screwed us on everything that has been important to us. Off the top of my head, he really went out of his way to screw us on judges with the Gang of 14, he sponsored the Terrorist Bill of Rights, then there's Campaign Finance Reform. |

I like this theory that I read over at DU sometime back. They said that if Hillary runs in 2008 it would really hurt the Dems in the House and Congress. The idea was that in the red states that still have Dem senators and reps, the Republican turnout would be so strong against Hillary that when they vote straight down the ticket the Republican candidates would be aided by the heavier turnout in those states.
Just something to think about, kind of made sense to me, might give the Republicans an even bigger majority in 2008. |

That's actually a very good theory. I'm going to disagree, because what I see is that the repubican base is going to sit out 2008 and not vote because to them Bush is screwing them over with out of control government spending and a wide open door regarding the border with Mexico. If Hillary is the Democratic nominee, then the last person the GOP should put up is Condi Rice. I hate to admit it, but there are people in this country that would not vote for a black woman. Assuming I am correct, Condi could easily throw the election to Hillary. Who the fuck wants that shit?
What we need is a relatively religious white guy (a WASP) that represents our traditional American values. He then needs to push Hilliary to the far left and paint her with the same brush Bush 41 did with Michael The Liberal Dukakis. I hope the GOP nominee is Senator George Allen from Virginia. I mean that gun owners have rolled over and taken it in the ass time and time again, and have smiled about it. Most gun owners look at me funny when I mention that we should be able to walk into a store and buy a silencer, GM, SBR, SBS, whatever. A good portion of gun owners were behind the AWB because they figured that certain guns were evil and the ban would not affect them. The only thing I can compare it to is "institutionalized" the way it was used in the Shawshank Redemption, we can't even fathom functioning in a totally free state. Not to mention the constant campaign in the media and entertainment industry to marginalize gun owners and make them look like psycho freaks, and even more so when they try and stand up for their rights. What real evil is being done when a shotgun is cut down to less than 18"? or a rifle barrel to less than 16"? How about putting a stock or VFG on a pistol? Yet I do not think that US gun owners are willing to part with such idiocy and are willing to accept more of it, like parts counts and so on. |

That is actually true to an extent, libtards are under the impression the blacks cannot think for themselves, much less work, learn, or function with out help from the government. They believe that the poor, dark skinned folk of the world are somehow inferior and are incapable of surviving on their own without aid of some sort. So thus any black that does not fit in with the rank and file must be a mouthpiece, controlled by someone else, because they are incapable of considering the points for themselves. |

I don't see a problem for MANY years. I'm sure everyone has heard of the baby boomers. Well guess what theese people are doing as they are getting older? Moving south out of the liberal northern states down into the republican southern states. In otherwords reducing the electoral votes in liberal states and increasing them in republican states. It might start sucking in certain counties but at the state level they are just going to dilute themselves out of power.
Clinton is the only president in the last 25 (will be 28 at the begining of '09 when the new president takes his seat) years that was not run by Reagan and his buddies. The senate is a MUCH harder egg to crack (way to many people just vote for the incumbant), power will not change hands there for a long time. |

I believe they honestly think sacrificing us will preserve their OUs and bolt rifles. Of course that is foolishly ignorant but that doesn't stop Gomers from thinking it.
The entire SBR/SBS bit is just flatout total bullshit. So I carry a handgun instead. BFD. I will be honest and say there should probably be some difficulty in obtaining a MG but with NICS that is a totally moot point. I had one of the docs I work with tell me that I was a "rabid gun owner" and that if they ever took away the RKBA that he would fight the gov't with his lever action. That of course would only be if they infringed on his RKB lever actions. I wonder what he thinks the bolt action guys are going to say about that? And this is an intelligent guy. That is the stupidity we are dealing with. |
