I am in the delivery room awaiting on my wife to give birth. Should I start drinking? So far everything is going great. I willTake any advice on anything concerning this matter.

Oh well... Guess she will have a boring birth... As long as its a good one and the baby is healthy, thats all that matters.

If this isn't just some joke, you do need to get in there and be a part of it. Be sure and take pictures of the new arrival afterwards. Meanwhile, GET OFF ARFCOM and turn that phone off!

Congrats to you then Reb,but damn...Surfing ARFCOM while your wife is about to deliver your baby??? This leads me to think that without ARFCOM, and it's "Hivemind",some people would forget to wake up in the morning without some sort of consensus and advice.

When my wife was in delivery, I did not have one thought of the computer. I was on here side the whole time, except when I left the room so I can go into the room where they kept snacks and drink.

Back in Oct. 2003 when my wife was pregnant with our first child they tried to induce labor. It was a no-go. They tried for two days before they took the baby by C-section at 12:22AM!

This time exactly one week from now we will be back in the hospital for baby #2 to arrive via C-section. At least this time there won't be two days of waiting.

I have two things to say here.

#1~ Congrats, Reb! Hope the baby arrives healthy and happy!

#2~ If while waiting on the delivery of our first child into this world, my husband has the ingenious idea to post a play by play on ARFCOM instead of sharing in the 'all things surrounding the miracle of childbirth', I will kick his ass into next week (after said birthing process), just as soon as the doctor gives me the okay to lift my leg that high.
