I answered option 1. My very embarrassing paycheck limits me from any other options. :/

I don't want my kids to argue when I die, so whenever I but something, I usually buy one for each of them and one to sell later if I need some money.

Currently, however, I am coming to the conclusion, I need to sell some to build another building.  But if I sell some to fund the other building, I won't need it for now.

Dillemmas......

I'm in between 1 and 2 in your poll so I'm not gonna vote.

Me: I had a battery in mind, got it, and now have succombed to the "Rule of Twos".

Now I'm simply refining what I have. Some early purchases need upgrading (barrels/FHs, scopes, etc).

Though I'd love to end up with a fine hard-fit 1911 some day.    *sigh*

Ive got a good collection, especially for my age(19). But ive got alot of stuff I really dont want that I either inherited or given to me as a gift. Ive got alot of older antique guns that are worth alot, and im too afraid to sell them because of sentemental value. I wish I had more EBR's and handguns. My Dad usually wont let me sell anything, so I just keep acumulating and more and more gets shoved into the back of the gunsafe.

I am just lucky my wife thought getting everybody in the house AR's for Christmas a couple years ago was great idea.  I am very fortunate with her and after the 94 ban, she also felt we should buy stuff for the kids.  That way if they can't buy it when they are of age, they will still get it and not argue about it.  The only condition I give them is this.  They must be able to pass a 4473 to the best of my knowledge.  If I know they have been convicted of a felony or a crime of violence, I get to sell his/her portion and keep the money.   If they decide they don't like guns, they can sell them and keep the money, but I get first dibs at fair market value.  What really get's me in trouble is working 12 miles from Aim Surplus when they have the $79 sales.

every gun I own was orginally designed with people as the game.

I don't hunt, so all of my firearms are for fun/self defense.

I buy the ones I want, but I don't have nearly enough.  A wife and a shitty paycheck preclude having things that I want.

The kind that goes to fun shows because, well... they're fun!

The kind that has a weapon in nearly every room of the house, including the garage.

The kind that spends at least three days per month at the range with several hundred rounds.

The kind that cannot tell the wife exactly how many and how much. Its a need to know basis and she doesn't need to know.

I am unfortunately, currently unable to feed my need for firearms.  Thanks to the ex, I currently own only 1 piece.  A Springfield 1911.  However, I definitely intend to increase to at least get back to the the several pieces I used to have, including several AR's.

More than enough to suit my current needs, nowhere near what I need to suit my current wants!
If I lived in a place with more national forest and open range to shoot where and when I wanted, I would own a lot more rifles. Where I am now I have to pay to play, so my long range inventory is somewhat limited.
