Out of these two lights which of these would you go with if you could have either one.


Streamlight m3      a little smaller then the m3x and less bright
OR
Streamlight m3x     a little bigger and brighter


Just so you all know. I cant afford a surefire so lets not even go there..

Surefire X200B - by far

M3X  Surefire copy then.  

I have a Surefire M101.  125 or 225 lumens of well focused 9 volt combat weaponlight vanquishing the night.  Built rock solid too.

Before you say you can't afford it - watch for one used and beat up.  I paid less for mine than a new M3X.  Every part can be replaced if it were to break.  In my case, it meant a new mount and a new lens.  The body is near indestructible - guy before me took a hammer to it and dented the rear of it, but it works great.  Total out was not much more than a M3.

M3X $160
Not much difference in price, especially if you can get one used.

Another idea is to ask brightflashlights what he thinks or could supply.  

I own an M5, so not sure about the M3 series. Its a great light BTW.

I have had decent luck with my M3 had it for years
it is a decent light
my X200 is nicer but alot more $$
I beleve a M3X is  quite a bit more than s a M3 also
