Pirates II Tops on my list ETA Shawshank Redemption II Red and Andy take over Mexico |
awaiting The Sentinel, starring Jack Bauer or least the guy that plays Jack

X3, and Underworld Evolution. Those are the two I'm really looking forward to. And by the way, wouldn't this topic be better here: Movies and Home Theaters? MJD

movies have all gone to shit. no big anticipations for me... in fact, i have no anticipations whatsoever.

I am anticipating an original story that doesn't suck.
So far, all the decent movies are remakes and I'm only seeing sequels or prequels other than that. |
I forgot one. Ice Age 2- Meltdown. I never thought I would like the first one but I thought it was one of the funniest things in ages. They need to do a whole movie about that saber-toothed squirrel that chases the acorn. Why can't I remember its name right now? MJD

The Davinci Code comes out. The book was ridiculous, but its following will probably make it a successful movie. Not on my 'to see' list.
Apocalypto looks darned interesting. Mel can direct like a mofo. The Passion was a great movie, so we'll see. X3 I won't see until it comes out on DVD, if then. Ditto Underworld Evolution, and the only reason I will see that is for whatshernuts looking hot in black leather. Apocalypto, Pirates of Caribbean 2, and maybe Miami Vice are the only 2006 (that I know of) movies I have any real interest in seeing |
I am looking forward to when Jennifer Anniston in a desperate attempt to get her name in the public eye, does a scat film.Should be 2006-07ish.
I've heard a lot about Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks partnering up again for a Band of Brothers-style Pacific theater mini series. THAT I would really look forward to. And those two movies Clint Eastwood will release simultaneously about Iwo Jima (don't know if that's 2006).
Besides that, Casino Royale has me curious, but that's about it. The quality of movies has decreased ridiculously the past few years. |
SWEET! |
They are going to make it a movie? Sweet! I hope they pull it off well! |
Plus the movies that are based on TV shows... Damn! It's worse than I thought (i'm not making any of these up). The A-Team Get Smart Rambo IV Terminator IV Taxi Driver Rock 'n' Roll High School Road House 2: Last Call Back to School Creepshow 3 Creature from the Black Lagoon Die Hard 4.0 Dirty Harry I Dream of Jeannie I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer Jackass: The Movie 2 Jurassic Park IV Knight Rider Logans Run Miami Vice Mission: Impossible III Mrs. Doubtfire 2 The Munsters The Pink Panther Police Academy The Punisher 2 Untitled Mad Max 4 Film When Worlds Collide The Wild Bunch |

Looking forward to seeing Kate Beckinsale in that nice tight outfit. |
X3 is the only one I'm really looking forward to.
I may go see the Underworld sequel (although I wasn't impressed with the first one). Mission Impossible 3 will come and go without notice from me, and I didn't even realize that they are making a sequel to POTC. That'll probably be orth seeing a couple of times. |
hahahahahahaahaha...good stuff! |

Oh, man, know wonder the movie industry is in slump. The movie studios are being run by accountants. For me its Pirates of Caribbean 2. |

I thought DR.Strange and IRON MAN were coming out in '06
personally, I would like to see spiderman 3, where peter parker actually grows a pair and stops whining like a little bitch. Kate Beckinsale is my goddess Gary |
I am looking forward to X Men 3, Mission Impossible 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Flags of Our Fathers.
there coming out with a 2????? wow really?? |
X3, Da Vinci Code, Pirates 2, the new M. Knight Shyamalan movie (not sure what it's called), and Superman Returns have my vote.
Cars will probably be one of the biggest (although IMO it won't deserve to be). |
Speicies VI Starring Catherine Zeta Jones, as the horney alien chick.
LOL Space herpes !!!!! I have that turd on DVD |
Yep. "Why is he black?" "I wanted him to be perfect!" |

Wishfull thinking unfortunatly. The guy responsible for the first one has been promising this new one for several years with nothing to show for it. Chris |

+A-FUCKIN-MEN I read through here thinking no one would mention it! You sir have great taste. I have waited for this for over year, I have read all of Alan Moores stuff including his more recent stuff, which I am ambivelent about, however, I just wish it came out in Nov of 2005 like it was supposed to...ill wait for the early 2006 release date, it will BE SWEET. Now if they would only make a movie out of "The Watchmen" I could die a happy man, seriously. vforvendetta.warnerbros.com/trailer_2.html |

I'm looking forward to Hostel this Friday, although I'll be seeing it alone since the GF absolutely refuse to go see it
Hostel |
We have to relize that movies that are sometimes posted in the IMDB are not made. I remember Predator 3 written and directed by Robert Rodriguze. It was never made. However IMDB said it was coming. This was about 5 or 6 years ago. I looked for it. I think it would have kicked ass.

I am just hoping 2006 is not as dismal a year as 2005. IF it were not for Serenity, the year would have been a total loss.
