Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pistol Cases at the Sportsmans Guide

Are these cases any good?  I'd like to get one, but unfortunately I've been dissappointed in the past with things from the Sportsmans Guide.  They can do a nice job of making crap look really good.  

So I'm wondering how nice these really are.  Are they really aluminum, or is it aluminum edges with aluminum colored plastic for the panels?

I bought a double scoped double rifle alum. case from them for my friend and he was more than satisfied.  Not samsonite, but a good price.

Every Case I have purchased from them have been of good quality, on par with anything you will find in a national retailer.

I bought one of those cases for the 1911 I gave to my buddy graduating Annapolis.  They are nice enough but not something you'll see in a museum.  The block that holds the extra rounds is not even sanded but the case serves its purpose. There are definitely worse buys out there.
