I don't think I've ever cleaned it.

I've got the little GE grinder from Wal-Mart.

I wipe it out after every use, or about once every four days.

Maybe wipe the fine stuff out with my finger, but just to get more coffee out.  Not to keep it clean and tidy.

I clean my coffee bean grinder after every use.  Why go throught all the trouble of grinding your own coffee beans every morning, if there is rancid bean flavors in your coffee grind.  I clean the grinder, along with pot and everything else after I'm finish drinking the coffee in the morning.

Mine is built into my coffee pot unit.  I have no choice but to clean it after each use.

Coffee becomes rancid?  I thought it just lost flavor as the volatiles and oils dried out from age.

Yep, like any edible oil, it can turn rancid, and give coffee an off-flavor.  I usually wash all of the coffee making equipment every day takes less than 5 minutes.  I have one of those Braun coffee bean grinders.

Mmmmmmm french press.

Yes, I clean up after grinding the bean. When she gets, ahem, excited, it is very liquid down there. ;)

I have a bur style grinder . There is no good way or reason to
clean the actual grinding wheels . I clean the bean hopper
and the outlet chute , but that’s about it .

Now when I had a blade style grinder I would clean
it every couple of batches because they generate
heat in the beans and make them release more oil .
Which by the way effects the flavor , and is the reason
I bit the bullet and spent the money for the bur style .
