The ScaryGuy Manifesto. (If you are an easily offended member of certain groups,  I suggest you exercise you Freedom of Choice to stop reading now) You've been warned:

Abortion: I will never allow a baby to be murdrered on my behalf, at one day or nine months. And that's what it is, no matter how the Feminazi "It's my Vagina and I'll Bitch If I want to" or the "I want to fuck around without consequences because I'm led around by my dick" crowd tries to paint it. Period, end of discussion.

Firearms: You don't want a gun in your house? Fine. I support your decision to be an ignorant, helpless fuck. But do NOT try to force your ignorant, helpless fuckishness on me just because you are a big stinking pussy who won't accept the responsibility for your own safety in this world.

Economy: There's money to be made, and I'm going to figure out as many legitimate ways as I can to make it, and the more the better. I am not just going to give it to you, either. I earned it, you didn't. If you want some, then get off your dead ass and get a job.

Healthcare: Exactly where in the Constitution does it say that "The People are entitled to free healthcare?" It Doesn't. You want healthcare? Then get off your dead ass and earn the money to pay for it. (With certain VERY VERY limited exceptions)

Education: I have it. I paid for it. If you want it, get off your dead ass and earn the money to pay for it.

Religion: Simple. There is a God. I am not Him. He had a Son, named Jesus, who bought for me the greatest gift that I will ever recieve. Feel free to ask me about it, if you wish...I'm more than happy to tell you about it. I will not, however, be used as a tool by the other side to turn you off to it by attemtping to beat it into your head with my Bible. There are ample opportunites for you to hear the Gospel, and ultimately, you WILL have to answer for it if you don't listen to me. But I'm happy to tell you about Jesus, for sure. I won't even be a potty mouth (The Lord and I are working on that one...)

Censorship: I am not offended. I am an admitted potty mouth. I am not proud of it, but, hey, sometimes the word "fuck" is all that will work. I firmly believe that some people in this country exist ONLY to get their panties up their ass about everything. (like the wet ended old fart and his dry assed wife who got pissed at the range last week because I said "Shit" within earshot. On a personal note, if you ARE offended by smoething I say, have the balls to ask me to watch my language to my face instead of running to the range office like a 4th grader.) That said,  and if you're offended by something, maybe you should look into a little thing us grownups call "Changing the Damn Channel".

Military: I have the utmost respect and admiration and grtitude for those that scarifice their own comforts to serve this country. They are our finest, without doubt. That said, a military exists for the sole purpose of killing people and breaking things on our behalf.  Let them do their damn jobs.

Death Penalty: Certain types of individuals are simply not to be allowed on society, and it's ridiculous to pay to keep them alive for their lifespan. Child Molesters, for instance. Actions have consequences, and if your actions deem you worthy of losing your life, say, when you get your jollies by hurting little kids, then I say cut the lethal injection shit and hang the fuckers on the courthouse square...Seeing them twitch would be a HELL of lot more of a deterrent to those that might think to do the same thing. Or just shoot the son of a bitch in the face and pile them up for the buzzards to eat. Make it Swift and Final.

Drugs: I do not do drugs. I pity those that are addicted, the way one would pity a stupid fucking idiot who steps out in front of a train on purpose. There is no shortage of literature on how bad that shit is for you. The definition of Stupidity is Ignorance by Choice. And, hell, every time I hear of an OD or some dumbshit blowing himself up in a meth lab, I think "Ya know, The herd DOES have a way of thinning itself out..." Good Riddance.

Welfare: Want money? Then get off your back, stop squirting out kids you can't fucking afford and get a damn job and EARN some. (With VERY few exceptions, as with healthcare)

Gay Marriage: Into whom or what you insert your penis is of no consequnce to me, provided you're both consenting adults, it harms no one but you and you do it in the privacy of your home. Do not, however, attempt to force your perversion onto society as normal. Simply because you choose to get your jollies by stuffing your pee pee in another man's ass does not entitle you the the institution of marriage nor the legitimacy and legal entitlments that would entail. You want gay rights? 10% off on Vaseline, now get the fuck back in the closet.

There's more, but that does it for the highlights.

How is it pro-leftist exactly. It's probably the most widely used political test on the Internet.

From the Home Page of the Test:
...The idea was developed by a political journalist with a university counselling background, assisted by a professor of social history...

How much more liberal can you get?

The questions are obviously loaded - anyone who can't see that doesn't want to see that IMHO.  YMMV, of course.

Oh, as to the test results - Right/Authoritarian, of course...

Abortion: It's wrong. Once a woman finds out she's pregnant, she needs to stick with it for 9 months. After that, if she still doesn't want the baby or feels she can't care for it, then she can put it up for adoption. There are plenty of loving parents out there that are willing to care for the child.

Firearms: The government has no say in our rights to own firearms. They can not restrict ownership of firearms, nor can they control the legality of certain firearms because of their individual qualities.

Economy: In principal, I support Laisse-faire policies. In practice, however, the government has to intervene a little. I support minimal government intervention in economic matters.

Healthcare: Healthcare is a private matter between citizens. Tell me where it states "free healthcare to all" in the constitution. Besides, we've all seen how well "free" healthcare works in Canada.

Education: The government can provide funding for schools, but I feel those in the goverment should have no input on the curriculum. The schools are for learning vital skills and the actions and events of the past, not to press others' political feelings onto our young. I feel that whenever possible, it should be the parents doing the educating, not the public school system.

Religion: The United States is primarily a Christian nation, so I have no problem with the government mentioning God and such in public matters. Heck. I think we could use a little more "May God bless us" and what not in public. That said, the government cannot found a state church and force attendance and it's beliefs on the public.

Censorship: The government cannot censor.

Military: We should have a large military, but we should not use it to police the world and push our beliefs on others. We should drop out of the UN and NATO. The Warsaw Pact is no longer a threat and the the rest of the world just wants to shit on us. Fuck 'em, that's the reason most of our ancestors moved over here and started this country in the first place. I support the actions of our fighting men in Iraq, but believe that if the Iraqi's wanted freedom so bad, that they should have stood up and rebelled against Soddam themselves. That said, now that we are already committed over there, we should support our troops in anyway possible until the job is done. The overthrow of Afghanistan was warrented because they were directly related to the actions on 9/11.

Death Penalty:  Depending on the severity of the offense, I support it. If someone is convicted of premeditated murder, than they deserve to face just what their victim did, by whatever means they commited the murder themselves. If they killed someone with an icepick, than that's the way they should leave this world. An eye for an eye, as far as I'm concerned.

Drugs: What people do to themselves on their time is not of the government's concern. However, if they get high and commit another offense because of it, then they should be justly punished. Like alcohol, you may use it, but if you are drunk and disturbing the peace, then you can be arrested for being drunk in public, or whatever charge is warrented.

Welfare:  The government should not give handouts. Get off your ass and get a job. If you are truly that bad off, then private charities should flip the bill.

Gay Marriage:Marriage is a religious affair. The government should not give people incentives to marry. It is up to one's particular religion as to whether or not gay may be wed. In principal, however, I am completely against queers marrying one another. It is wrong and unnatural. If you want to screw another guy in the ass, I don't want to know about it.

For whatever reason, the test won't show up for me on this computer. However, I'm fairly sure I know where I stand: Right smack dab in the middle. Ever so slightly left, and ever so slightly Libertarian.

Technically, I believe I'm best categorised as a Social Democrat. On this site, that makes me a Commie, and on DU it makes me a Fascist. Fair enough. There is no commensurate political party in the US right now, though it's the most common viewpoint in Europe. Since that's where I was raised, this shouldn't be a surprise. In a nutshell, it's fiscally socialist, and morally conservative.

In reference to the question posted to the OP as to 'You're so far left, what are you doing on this board?' last I checked it was 'ar15.com', not 'rightwingar15owners.com.' It is eminently possible to have a sensible firearms attitude, and not be right-wing otherwise.

On the listed issues:

Abortion: Pro choice. I don't believe in bringing a child into the world if you can't or won't take care of it. Controversial opinion on this board, I know. 'Nuff said.

Firearms: Pretty much in agreement with everyone else here. Own anything you want up to crew-served MGs, larger weapons with certification. I'm sorry, I just have issues with people owning howtizers and tanks and not being sure on how to use the bloody things. I definitely draw the line at nukes. Nationwide, Shall Issue CCW. I differ from the OP slightly on allowing released felons to be armed, I think it should be crime-dependent. If a violent crime, I think there should be a permanent weapons ban.

Economy: As I said, fiscally, I'm socialist. I would accept higher taxes than most on this board would be willing to tolerate, as long as they are properly spent. I am not convinced by the lack of waste in government, and I certainly wouldn't object to downsizing it a bit. Simplify the tax code.

Healthcare: The OP suggested a government-created health insurance programme. Probably not a bad idea. When it comes to health insurance, I think the people the company should be most worried about is the insured, not the shareholders. I do not believe that simple market pressures will be sufficient to provide proper coverage, I can see private businesses making corporate decisions not to provide certain coverage for ailment or persons in order to service more financially lucrative targets. We are seeing some of this in the pharmaceutical industry: Companies are going for the high-volume, daily-use drugs, the expensive-to-research, low-yield areas such as antibiotics is being under-worked. This could well bite us in the arse if some nasty bug comes along.

Education: Great fan of the Irish system. Surprise, surprise. Free through third level education, allocated on a merit-based system. i.e. if you work at your studies, you'll get your education of choice. If you don't, well, tough luck. Probably not feasible in a country the size of the US though. Carrying out simultaneous nationwide examinations whilst maintaining document security would be next to impossible without massive funding. Still, if all schools have a computer terminal, might be possible.

Religion: No issues with personal religious expression, even if made by a person holding public office. Religious expression which is inferred as representative of public policy, however, is another matter. Eg: President chooses to say a prayer before his cabinet meetings: Acceptable. President instructs all people at meetings to join in prayer, unacceptable.

Censorship: Boobies aren't allowed on TV, even at night? Damn, you guys are strict. In entertainment, information programmes, let anything go. When it comes to matters of government concern, there should be the option of government censorship. It requires co-operation between the government and the papers. Eg. Paper goes to government: "We're hearing rumours about the following. Do you have anything to convince us that we would be wrong to publish it?" Abuse of government censorship would be counter-productive.

Military: Financially, spend whatever you need to get the job done, and have a capable, sizeable, modern force. Good oversight on programme funding, but don't go cutting programmes when they go overbudget for honest reasons. Culturally, it needs to seriously change. The risk-averse mindset needs to go, and be replaced by an objective-oriented mindset.

Death Penalty: Keep it. I like the Chinese system of forcing the family of the executed to pay for the bullet. I also like the Saudi policy that allows the next-of-kin of the victim a final go/no-go at the execution. They would be the final arbitrators of clemency. A nice tradition would be tipping the guy who inserts the needle. Old tradition from the middle-ages when you would tip your beheader. Tip poorly, and the chap may decide to not make nice, clean, quick, painless cuts.

Drugs: Medical marjuana should be legal. Frankly, anything that medical science reasonably believes to be beneficial should be legal if properly proscribed. Recreational drugs, I'm not so sure about. I know the Dutch seem to have figured out how to make it work, but I'm not convinced it would work in the US.

Welfare: Agree with the OP. Sometimes it just takes a while to get another job after you've been laid off.

Gay Marriage: I don't like it. That said, other than personal bigotry, I can't think of any reasons it should not be legal. I am far less enthused about the concept of gay/lesbian couples rearing children, however.

Additional: Political System:
The two-party system has to go. More often than not, people don't vote for who they want, they vote for the person they think has the best chance of keeping the guy they don't want out. I don't vote for Republicans these days, I vote against Democrats. Of course, it'll never happen. The only way the system might change is if the politicians of the two parties agree to a system which will reduce their own power. (Single transferrable vote, maybe?). Keep the electoral college, though.

Additional: TV:  Bring back the Muppet Show.

I don't know why people laugh at me for my Muppet appreciation. I tried to get my platoon together on Christmas day in Iraq for a viewing of Muppets Christmas Carol (Michael Caine as Ebeneezer Scrooge), and they didn't want to do it. <sigh>
