Why is it that the "Liberals" seem to be the ones banning everything, and the "Conservatives" are the ones that are more often than not fighting for the rights of the people? Based on the definitions of the words, I would think the two roles would be reversed. Explain this to me?

In todays world, Liberal means Liberal Government rights, where Conservative means Conservative .gov rights.

Liberals really hate it when people express opposition to them, but have this conceit that it is conservatives who oppress and suppress their political opponents. Guess what? In reality? In America, the "liberals" do not tolerate opposition and suppress it where and when they can.
