What I'm getting:  720 rounds of .mil 223 on strippers in an ammo box

for

$80 and a bastardized Mosin Nagant (wood stock replaced with black synthetic, and errantly canted scope mount installed)

Local pawn shop, they have a few other cans marked at $180.

ETA:  addtl info - this is the last semester of my wifey's full time school and no-time income , which means I probably won't have the opportunity to purchase such an amount again, so I'm thinking I can stretch the ammo out over the next five months of my every other week, 60+/- spent round shooting trips.

The real question is:

Which item is more useful to you?

I thought this was the FTF trade a Clack Kimber for a Glock -its in the WTT in the EE. If I lived in Illinois it would be mines. Hell I dont even own a Glock but Id buy one just to do the trade.

bad trade

720 rds of 5.56 wont last very long, maybe 2 or 3 range trips

keep the $80 and the Mosin Nagant

if I was that short on cash, I would use the $80 and stock up on 7.62X54R ammo and shoot the old Mosin Nagant for now.

well, the thing is, I want to get rid of the rifle since it is bastardized like it is, and have the sercurity that is is pawned off to someone else with ownership transfered an all of that, so that makes it more worth my trade.

Offer him $50.00 and the rifle for the ammo

I myself would rather have the ammo than a old pos rifle
