Italian court issues arrest warrant for CIA agents.

An Italian court yesterday issued a Europe-wide arrest warrant for 22 CIA agents accused of kidnapping an Egyptian cleric from Milan and flying him to Egypt, where he says he was tortured.

The move raises the stakes in the dispute between Europe and America over the CIA's controversial policy of "extraordinary rendition".

It means that police forces in Britain and the 24 other members of the EU would be legally obliged to arrest any of the suspects, who would be sent back to Italy under a fast-track system adopted as a counter-terrorist measure after the September 11 attacks.

The same procedure was used to return Hussain Osman, one of the alleged would-be suicide bombers in London on July 21, after he was tracked down to Italy.

The Italian prosecutor, Armando Spataro, said he had also asked Interpol to try to detain the CIA agents anywhere in the world.

Magistrates in Milan believe that a CIA team abducted Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr, otherwise known as Abu Omar, off a Milan street as he made his way to a mosque in February 2003.

The wanted men include the alleged head of the CIA Milan sub-station, identified as Robert Seldon Lady, who retired to a villa in northern Italy but slipped out of the country before arrest warrants were issued in July.

Prosecutors issued the warrants in apparent frustration with the justice minister, Roberto Castelli, who appears to have been stalling on their demand that the Italian government request their extradition from America.

The Polish government said yesterday it had decided not to make public the results of an inquiry into the possible existence of CIA prisons on Polish soil.

Although officials promised last week to reveal all the results of the investigation, a spokesman said the parliamentary commission had read the report, accepted its conclusions and now considered the matter closed

Telegraph

It is obvious that the center-right government in Italy was cooperating with the US government in nabbing the Islamic terrorists in Italy. But they won't admit to it because of public opinion. The leftists have some control over the courts and so they want to have the CIA agents arrested and put on a Stalinist show trial. I suppose they want to get one on the US while destroying the conservative government in Italy.

The war is a clash of civilizations and the Euro-Socialists are collaborating with the mu-slimes. Time to put out our own arrest warrants for these socialist prosecutors in Italy.

This sounds like an awesome movie.

CIA agents operating covertly in another country to capture international terrorists.  The govt is allowing it.  Media firestorm hits and the CIA guys are on the run thru Europe (maybe in Mini Coopers?).  They are caught and allowed to 'escape' by some of the police chiefs before going before leftist courts.  Etc.

And we lose another battle in the WOT.

The world is going to get MUCH MUCH worse before it gets better.

The Shit is truely going to hit the fan soon, and all the guns and ammo in the world can't help.  The world "got behind us" in the wake of 9/11 to show "support" against "senseless acts of terror"........now that we are DOING something about it...the world is still behind us, stabbing us in the back......  This is a war for the hearts and minds of heartless and mindless people that hate our way of life.  Those are just the democrats here at home and the socialists abroad....never mind the people that want to blow us to hell..

It's also possible that the Italians were telling the truth, that they did not sanction the snatch, and that they are justifiably pissed at other governments conducting kindappings n their terriroty.

If the CIA wants to go about kidnapping people, I guess that's what they're there for, but there's no point in complaining about it if they get caught.

Think we could lay off the hajjis for a decade or so, conquer europe with england as our ally, then hit them in true "east vs west" fashion?

Or do we have to deal with the ROP before giving the EU the asskicking it so richly deserves?

Doubt it, as the shitstorm over "Extraordinary Rendition" has already hit these shores, and even photo's of unmarked, US registered and CIA leased planes transiting thru British airports, has already hit the press stands.

Even Condi has admitted that it has happened and offered no apologies for it.
Britain has turned the friendly "blind eye" to it but has asked the US for clarification.

We're still waiting .......

With that said, the British public don't really give a damn that it is happening, even though the US is clearly flouting International law

WADR to you and the rest of our friends in the Mother Country, (and trust me, I do have some in high places) you can bloody well hold your breath and wait until your faces turn purple and Hell freezes over before you'll get "a clarification" much less any sort of apology or ANY sort of obsequeous schmoozing, as far as I'm concerned!

There is NO fucking WAY my country should turn over ANY of her citizens to some kangaroo court run by a bunch of panty-waist, appeasement loving socialist euroweenies.  If Clinton (either) were president, you might get them in one of your pussy eurocourts for a show trial...but as long as our Cowboy rides the range, that ain't about to happen any time soon.

You see, we have this little document we call our Constitution.  When we wrote it, we designed it with the idea that it would both provide us with a solid framework for our government, our federal-states relationships, our relationships with foreign states AND to protect in perpetuity, the RIGHTS of our CITIZENS.  We hold this document SACRED and have historically and still do, take the position that IT takes primacy over ANY foreign law, document, court, government or "leader" of any nation state or group.  Sorry, that is just the way it is.

Finally, we are at WAR.  We intend to do ANYTHING to preserve our republic, our Constitution, our culture and our lives.  If perchance we happen to trod on some toes in the process...then so be it.

Be not so quick to criticize us either.  If push comes to shove, we'll save your English speaking asses again, just as we did in WW II.  Our love for our ancestors runs too deeply to cast you adrift...so a pat on the back and a heartfelt THANK YOU AMERICA! would be nice once in a while.

The CIA should slide a briefcase full of money to Roberto Castelli and snatch Armando Spataro. They can always blame the mob. Heck, Armando Spataro is probably on the mob payroll and hassling the CIA because the mobsters are getting caught in the anti-terror net.

Ok, now I'm a very strict Constituationalist but I have no idea what right in the Constitution youre saying Italy is trying to violate?  The right to illegally kidnap someone from another soverign country?  You dont think that if some Italian came over here and kidnapped someone off the street, that the US govt would have a problem with it?
