Do they normally run small or large? Cheaperthandirt has some "TruSpec" tactical digital BDU sets, 65%poly, 35%cotton. They come in M, L, XL. My everyday jeans are 36x30 and chest is 43. What size sounds right?

How's the quality?

I would like to get it right the first time, and not have to pay for return shipping.

Thanks!

XXL is way too big, but XLis just a hair too small. They technically fit, I'd just rather have a bit more wiggle room. The jackets dont' make any sense, I can fit into a L just fine.

I know, but I don't trust "sizing charts" too much, sometimes they are not very accurate(past experiences). I just wanted to get a few first-hand opinions first.

Since these are not real military sizes, I would say go with Large in top and bottom. If it were real military sizes, You would wear medium regular in top and bottom.

Just enlist and get four of the REAL ones for free.........

Hmm, I am a 34 waist and Mediums barely fit with as loose as they could go.

Large were perfect with a belt. I'm also 6'1 and i like them to be a little on the longer side, so I wear Large-Long....both BDU and ACU.

Jacket's I wore a Large-Regular in BDU and in the ACU, I wear a Medium-Long.

After market BDU's and Tru-Spec's in particular tend to run small and often have shrinkage. Go with the large, regular length.
Tru-Spec's are generally held in low regard by those familar with these sorts of things, don't get your hopes up.

Yeps...I've got a pair of Tru-Spec's. They're nothing to write home about.

My everyday jeans are 36x40, so I ordered a Large/Long. They're a touch short, but the waist is good.

i never liked tru-specs. one pair i had were high in the front and low in the back. all of them seem to have a lower rise than propper, which i regard as the best.

a size LARGE REGULAR should fit you, both pants and shirt

medium pants will fit too snug in the waist for you
