I normally have no problem paying whatever a manufacturer cahrges for their software, because it is usually wortth it.  But Acrobat is an exception.  $300 just to make PDFs is outrageuos.  After some googling, it appears that Acrobat is not alone.  Anyone here use anything else?

I use Open Office v2 - Export as PDF is a standard feature.

BTW did I mention the WHOLE PACKAGE IS FREE.

Its a replacement for M$ Office without all the bloat - and yes there is a bit of a learning curve but its well worth it.

I use a piece of shareware called "Print To PDF", which runs under OS9. It looks just like another printer to your Mac, selectable through the Chooser.
