OK...corrected to say:

"Although the explanations quoted above are erroneous, these images are in fact real and undoctored, and they are indeed photographs taken of a patient whose brain surface was exposed and crawling with insects. The pictures date from October 2002, and they are photographs of a man in his 70s who was suffering from an unusual form of cancer which had eaten away at the upper portion of his skull and scalp but who had not sought any medical treatment because the condition was not causing him pain. The man was brought to the trauma center at Stanford University Hospital (where the photographs shown here were taken) by San Mateo County paramedics who had been summoned to the scene after the man was involved in a minor automobile accident and who found him in his car in the condition pictured. "

Still...

but why wouldn't you seek medical help if it was already this bad.
it isn't like that happen in a few mins. it had to take awhile to get that bad.

Maybe the creatures ate away the part of his brain that would have allowed him to seek medical help?
Link Posted: 12/22/2005 9:24:46 PM EDT
i think if i ever got to that point i'd put a bullet through what was left of my brain.

Fish in the USA to be consumed raw must be flash frozen per USDA regs to kill parasites and any eggs.

Probably because he didn't want to turn in his man card if he went to the hospital.

Common, men are reknowned for this kind of crap which winds up killing them later on down the road.

I don't think seeking medical attention in this matter would revoke your man card.

What's the next step? Spray it with a hose to get the big ones off, then squirt a little Ortho on there?
Link Posted: 12/22/2005 11:57:59 PM EDT

this fool suffered the WRATH OF KAHNNNNNNN!!!

geez, me too.

didn't even blink when staring at those pics.

real life is much more intense. there's the stench, the ripped and shredded bodies, and on decomposed cases, that black goo that is near impossible to get out of clothing.

just consider it a free anatomy lesson.
Link Posted: 12/23/2005 2:30:21 AM EDT
Heh, heh, heh....

You like looking at the pictures? Try pulling the things out of a surgical wound because the patient decided to walk around outside, got the bandage wet and didn't bother to call the office for several days.

AFARR

I can tell you just by looking at the infestation and the tissue reaction that the description of the picture is wrong. There is too much edema and induration that it would not have been easily evident prior to going the doctor.

What a bowl of bullshit.

Old people are like that, has to be part of the aging process. I used to process film for ER's and other facilities some years ago. I recall one case in particulat where an elderly patient had what began as a boil or cyst or cancerous growth on his chest in the area of the sternum. He refused to seek treatment. When he finally was taken to the hospital, he had a gaping hole in his chest and his rib cage was seperated into two halves where it had been eaten away.

BTW, Dog1, if you're reading this, could you IM me your picture. I've improved my techniques since you posted that picture (it was many months ago), and I'l like to see what else can be done with it.

Remember, maggots only eat dead tissue. Throughout history maggots have been used to clean wounds. If someone has a really bad wound, stick some maggots on there. They'll eat the dead tissue, not touch the living tissue, and keep you from getting gangrene.

I would be willing to bet that he would be in worse shape if the maggots were not there.
