After seeing the giant lego star wars ship on ebay www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=420771
I want to know how many of us played with legos as kids?

This is by far the coolest thing I ever made:

For extra nerd points, what was I trying to make?

I still play with Lego's anytime I see my nieces and nephews.

Still have two 5 gallon buckets of blocks,  had to use my imagination before all the kits were out.

And tonights bonus question:
Specifically, what kind of plastic are Lego's made of?
Link Posted: 12/22/2005 5:15:42 PM EDT
[#11]
My nipples are pierced with lego's.
Link Posted: 12/22/2005 5:15:56 PM EDT
[#12]
Of course I did. Who didn't?

Edit: as to what plastic, ABS.

Somewhere in the garage I have a 5 gallon bucket full of them.

I have about 30 gallons of Legos in rubbermaid containers that I'm saving in case I ever have children.

It is considered unnatural to not play with Legos at some point in life.
Link Posted: 12/22/2005 5:19:20 PM EDT
[#16]
Some Legos, more K'nex though. You could do different things with the K'nex that I thought were cool.

As a child I built an execution room out of legos for my GI joes. My parents took away my legos.

My brother played with them.

I had the wood crap you had to make square shit with, cut like logs for a log cabin...can't remember what they were called.

I never had the black legos, mine were red, blue and yellow.
I finally got some of the grey ones towards the end, from some of the space kits...

Legos were awesome.  I kinda hate that now days they are all movie themed though.  I went to the mall the other day to get my nephew a christmas gift and all the legos seemed to be harry potter and starwars.

That's a VF-1 Valkyrie  from Macross.

Lego Technic is where it's at. I was addicted to all sorts of legos, but building ones that actually functioned in some manner was pretty cool.

Perhaps the more appropriate question would have been "who here HASN'T played with legos?"

I love those stupid things, and have been known to randomly break out my old blocks a build ridiculously stupid stuff.  That lego "master builder" is just lucky in that he gets payed to do just that.

Played, hell I still play! My 18 mo old has Mega Blocks, but they just aren't the same. I want to cover a coffee table with lego material to build on.

Just remember to pick the fuckers up off the floor when you are finished with them.

I stepped on one of the small single square ones.  It put on the floor and I couldn't walk for a week.
