After seeing the giant lego star wars ship on ebay www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=420771
I want to know how many of us played with legos as kids? This is by far the coolest thing I ever made: For extra nerd points, what was I trying to make? |
I would still be collecting them if they wernt so damn expensive.
I'm too old to have the cool stuff like that, I think I managed to make a milk house or something out of legos.
I used to ALL the time, usually the midevil stuff, we'd build dragons since they didnt have the premade ones then. So much fun.
I still play with Lego's anytime I see my nieces and nephews.
Still have two 5 gallon buckets of blocks, had to use my imagination before all the kits were out.
I played with legos as a youngin.
But todays lego kits really put to shame what i had! Alot of the stuff out there makes me jelous of the kids that have them! |
And tonights bonus question:
Specifically, what kind of plastic are Lego's made of? |
Somewhere in the garage I have a 5 gallon bucket full of them.
I have about 30 gallons of Legos in rubbermaid containers that I'm saving in case I ever have children.
Kharn |
It is considered unnatural to not play with Legos at some point in life.
Some Legos, more K'nex though. You could do different things with the K'nex that I thought were cool.
All pre-tested of course |
I was smart and packed all of my $1000+ worth of leggos in a box and still have them. over flowed one of those big apple boxes.
As a child I built an execution room out of legos for my GI joes. My parents took away my legos.
Everything I didnt learn in school I learned from lego's tecknik(you know the kind with gears and stuff)
I made a 4 speed transmission at age 12 |
I did and still do.
If I get too stressed out I mess around with them. I collect the Blacktron I sets. |
My brother played with them.
I had the wood crap you had to make square shit with, cut like logs for a log cabin...can't remember what they were called. Danny |
I never had the black legos, mine were red, blue and yellow.
I finally got some of the grey ones towards the end, from some of the space kits... |
Legos made me the man I am today...
They absolutely rock, I still play with them with my nephews and I am 37! |
Lincoln Logs |

Legos were awesome. I kinda hate that now days they are all movie themed though. I went to the mall the other day to get my nephew a christmas gift and all the legos seemed to be harry potter and starwars.

I played with them long before they had all the pre-made sets.
My son has tons of them, and I still play with them from time to time. He's getting some more for Christmas, so we'll have some new ones to play with. |
I did, probably more than the average kid. That's a VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross. |
Lego Technic is where it's at. I was addicted to all sorts of legos, but building ones that actually functioned in some manner was pretty cool.
Perhaps the more appropriate question would have been "who here HASN'T played with legos?"
I love those stupid things, and have been known to randomly break out my old blocks a build ridiculously stupid stuff. That lego "master builder" is just lucky in that he gets payed to do just that. |
Played, hell I still play! My 18 mo old has Mega Blocks, but they just aren't the same. I want to cover a coffee table with lego material to build on.
Just remember to pick the fuckers up off the floor when you are finished with them.
I stepped on one of the small single square ones. It put on the floor and I couldn't walk for a week. |
You win, good job |

woah awsome!!!!! I think I have enough legos left over at my parents house though...... I think my love of putting together ARs is just an extension of lego fever, I mean rails are pretty lego ish........... |
This isn't mine; somebody else did it. Bringing back an Oldie but Goodie: Lego MP-5 |
So the truth comes out, holy crap!! |
that thing has a layer of dust about a foot thick on it, I havnt lived at home for 8 years. I wont let them touch it. |
I'm just glad my daughters demolished most of my sons Lego sets. If they were all still in one piece, I would have to add another room to the house.
That would explain a lot. |
You need to bring it home and make a Lego fort |
I don't think that is Kali legal |
