Because of both the caliber and the increased exposure and use by the Military? I've seen a few sell that even I knew were quite overpriced and since I have been on vacation I've been hitting gun stores and shows and frankly, they have squat. Every one on the shelf is gone, and I saw exactly 1 at the last show that was overpriced and gone in about an hour anyways. I had mine with me as I was looking for a stock [USGI] and I wanted to make sure it fit correctly. I muct have had at least 50 offers to buy from people at the show.

So becoming more popular or is it my imagination?

Not with me. I've had two and sold them. About the only thing good was the iron sights. Damn things would always choke on ammo, not go into battery or have some other operation error.

I find a FAL to be more reliable, reliable and, did I say reliable?

If they're selling quickly then the're not over priced.

It was pretty popular in California for the last five years. Now everyone is buying the hell out of the AR-15's that are still legal.
