For some strange reason, I just haven't felt like doing anything Christmas-related this year. We usually get all of our shopping done by the first of December. Here it is 5 days away and I'm still not finished. Hell, I haven't even bought anything for the wife yet.

It just seems that the older I get, the less 'Christmas spirit' I have.

Been done since the 7th. Never had to goto any stores. Amazon.com is my friend.

I hate shopping online. I ordered some things over the phone last week. One package showed up in record time. I just hope the other shows up before my sister and brother-in-law leaves to visit his family in NJ later this week.

well if you know what you are going to get ,and you know where to get it, then it isn't a problem. Did all mine in less than 1.5 hours this past Saturday. and that included the mall

Here's a few tips for all of you late shoppers from a retail worker.

1. Retail clerks are people too! We are not robots. If we are walking quickly through the store, trying not to make eye contact, it's probably because we're trying to get to the freaking bathroom. Please don't stop us.

2. If you think that a person works in the store they most likely do. The single most annoying question to a busy retail clerk is, "Do you work here?" No, I'm wearing this name tag 'cause I think it's cool.

3. If you're going late in the day, please make a note of what time the store closes and abide by it. We all appreciate that your time is valuable but so is ours (see no. 1). We know that "I'll only be a minute." is pure bullshit. We want to make it home before new years.

Just a few helpful hints from a really, really tired retail worker.

All done, but I waited too long for Dad's present, so I had to upgrade to the next model up from what he asked for (1/2" 18v cordless with that removable chuck, instead of the 3/8" 18v), for 50% more since his was out of stock.
