My dad and brother both bought Remington shotguns just a few weeks ago (now I have to be more careful coming back into the house at night, instead of a baseball bat my dad will come out with a loaded 870!) and it's nearing Christmas time.

For my dad I'm thinking a case of WOLF 00 buckshot and a side saddle. Not sure about my brother, but maybe a new stockset.

Any advice?

Ammo. Chokes, if you are a hunter.

depends on the gun--skeet/trap gun or HD/SD shotty

overall, cant beat ammo

chokes and ammo carries are next w/ a nice sling

Tac sling.  Side saddle.  Butt stock ammo carrier........

Vertical foregrip.

My wife loves hes can grab my shotty and, it's got 12 rounds in pouches plus chamber.

I have a side saddle and, an eagle industries stock carrier.

Got to feed the piggy.

If it's being used for home defense, get them a light and something to attach it with. Nothing worse than firing blindly in the dark.

Ammo, Maybe some different barrels, like say an 18 inch barrel for  home defense. Light and light mount.  A decent normal sling.  Maybe a synthetic stock set. I cant really think of anything else.

Plenty of ammo for him to practice with. Range time to do that if heaven forbid he lives somewhere he has to pay to shoot.

I am thinking of this for my brother and Dad. Any good?

Sights.

The bead sucks.

Oh, I dislike the Speedfeed stock.

Some people like them.  I don't.

Eagle Industries buttstock pouch and, sidesaddel give me lots of ammo choices if I have to grab the wepon...Not to mention if it's loaded.......(Not my usual HD weap)

Yeah.  Ghost ring sights rule for me.

Mrs Goon likes the bead though.

I offered to "Tac-out" her 20 gauge, and, she threatend to
chop off the boys.\

Wood grain...Bead sight.  Go on with yourself babe

For a HD gun a Knoxx COPstock would be nice.  Side saddles, slings, barrel shrouds and all kinds of evil goodies are out there.

I really want a COPstock for my 870.

If they don't already have one, a mag extension would be nice. Lots of cheap birdshot ammo along with a box of clay pidgeons and a hand thrower. Loads of fun to bust clay's and that way they get in some trigger time, and time shucking the action..both helpful.
