"Gunner Palace" - AR15.COM

Anyone seen this movie? It's a documentary about US soldiers living in Uday's old palace in Baghdad. I thought it did a good job illustrating the life of these soldiers in Iraq (mind you I'm not military and have no idea what its REALLY like so I could be wrong). But it did seem to have some editorial anti-war propaganda in it.

Just curious what other people thought of it.

I saw it a while ago, it was ok. I especially liked seeing one guy play Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on his laptop (thats one of my all time favorite FPS games).

Saw it on the shelf at Lackluster video. Might rent it next time.

They show it on the military channel from time to time (if you have cable/satellite of course).

I hope our enemies, current and potential, watch it. It will make them underestimate our soldiers.

I liked it and I think it made some good points.

1) You go to war with the army you have, a field artillery regiment designed to fight Warsaw Pact troops in open battle instead of conducting dismounted patrols in Iraqi cities.

2) Be suspicious of any foreign nationals, even your translators.
