FWIW my dentist recommends not using toothpaste at all, but rather Listerine (and a Sonicare or equivalent ultrasonic toothbrush)

(gotts to see where Listerine is made now...)

I expect electronics, clothing, etc., to be made somewhere else, but toothpaste?

the problem lies with labor rates. It's cheaper to make stuff over there than here. They only pay them, for example, $1 an hour in the GM plants in Mexico.

Makes perfect sense to me. Have you seen the hygiene in Mexico? Those companies don't have to worry about employee theft of those products.

That is just the tube....They manufacture those here....ship them to Mexico to have the paste put in....then ship em back.
