No $***!

My on-board emergency water supply has been frozen solid for almost 2 weeks. I don't carry enough fuel for my camp stove to melt nearly enough of it if it came down to needing it. Guess I could siphon unleaded from my truck (the stove is a muti-fuel unit). My sleeping bag that I carry in my pack is only rated to 20F.

Really going to have to re-think a lot of how I operate once I make the move up north for real.

Oh, well... that's part of the fun of going someplace different than you're used to.

Just add a drop of whiskey in your water bottle (or a drop of water in your whiskey bottle) , get a blanket for your sleeping bag, make friends with a good woman and you can survive winter anywhere!

Hmmm... got a few houses picked out for closer inspection after the holidays are over so maybe, just maybe I might have some stories before this winter is over.

It's in the 40's here during the day, dips just a bit below freezing at night. Glad I don't live up north.

11F this morning.

Buy better quality window cleaner with less water and don't let asshats at the drive through oil change depots top up your reservoir - all hope is lost when the fluid freezes in the reservoir and nozzles.
