I wonder what those prices would look like if inflation was factored in? I'm sure they'd still be quite a bit cheaper than what we'd expect to pay today.
For you old timers, did the '68 Gun Control Act (I think that's the right name) seriously affect prices? -James |

Lets see...
139.95 would be in today's dollars...with ~500% inflation from 1966...699.74 dollars not bad at all for a M14 type rifle. Edit: inflationdata.com/Inflation/Inflation_Rate/InflationCalculator.asp Its not as cheap as you might think. You can build a nice AR for 700 bucks. So we really are not paying all that much more.
