I don't think you can go by the color of his mustache compared to his hair. My husband has a red mustache and noticeably brown hair. My brother has a brown mustache with two huge red sections flanking the brown, with dark brown/almost black hair.
Sometimes they're really noticeable but not always. If their hair never seems to grow, that's usually the first clue.

look for a chin strap or it lifting up in the back. usually hair texture is a dead give away

Dolly Parton wears wigs all the time too, but I can't actually tell.
I just dont have an eye for this stuff

Hair color can be a give away. If there are no/few grey hairs on the top of his head and many on the back and sides that could be a toupee.

I noticed that you cant see the scalp on top because it's fake
real hair you can usually see some scalp through the hair when the sun shines through, also the hairline doesnt look natural and the fake hair color doesnt match the grey hair on the sides and neck |

William Shatner has the best, you can still see scalp through the hair. Bad toups generally look like a solid hat of hair.

You can see the difference in the hair where it meets with the "real hair". It's like they're wearing a helmet. And it's too perfect...and sometimes sits too low on the forehead.
I can spot them every single time. Men..if you can read this...just let it go. Really. The natural look is so much sexier. I think bald men are VERY sexy. The combover just makes it worse. Go with what God gives you. Really. |
