Was at work and someone brought in a can of mixed nuts.



Had a couple of handfulls kept working,


Boy my hands itch,,,,,,,,Went and washed them in hot water and put on some lotion




Man oh man do they ITCH, and my tounge is starting to feel like it has  peeper on it.






DAMN MY HANDS ITCH NOW MY LIPS ARE FEELING FUNNY


Everyone I work with is looking at me strange, leadman gave me a tavist D tablet he had then all of a sudden I realized my left hand was too swolen to close.

So off to the ER. I go.......
got a shot of epinephrine, Benadryl, and a steroid.

Then I wait.
and wait.
Finnaly after about 90 minutes the Dr. gets back and checks me over.
Hands are some better and the hives are going away.
So now for the next couple of weeks I have to have a Epipen with me.
And no more nuts.



But I love salted in the shell peanuts
I like breathing even more.

Go take a flight.  It's 100% nut free

I've heard of people developing allergies, but DAMN.

I get the same reaction if I eat pistachios that are in the shell. Funny thing is they don't bother me if they are aready shelled.
