I was wondering, in what operation stateare the bulk of the a2's in the military? I know everyone here probably keeps their AR nice and shiny...but what about Uncle Sam and the boys? Every other country is getting new battle rifles so I would imagine most of them are relatively new. So I am wondering in what condition are our units. This goes out ot all those enlisted types. Zaz

In my experience most of the military rifles on active duty are serviceable but lack a lot of finish from over maintenance. A lot of units require you to draw your weapon once a week and clean it. It doesn't matter if you haven't fired it all month. So you have people sit there and scrub on the weapon until most of the finish is gone. The biggest problem is not the rifles but, the magazines for them. Since an unserviceable magazine still counts as having a magazine, there are a lot of unserviceable magazines out there.
