Does it seem like to anyone else that marketing rather than quality lead to sales in the firearm industry?
There are few objective reviews of guns people buy and many people buy guns without ever having the chance to test them.
Being on this board, we are better informed than most, but I still think there are a lot of substandard guns being sold because of ads instead of quality.

i agree 110% There is so much BS flaoting around the firearms community it's not funny. I got into firearms about 4 years ago. Luckily i had knowledgeable friends and sites like this. Otherwise i would have bought alot of junk. So far everything i've purhased has been a quality peice.

yeah its nice to have a place where you can ask questions before you buy a rifle and get first hand feed back. That why i supported this site with my $60 membership fee.(free plug) The advice i get is great and worth every penny.

What we gun owners need is Consumers Report to
start testing guns and ammo like they test other
products. Until then we will have to rely warily
on the Gun magazine shill writers and the knowledge of others.

When product design is given over to marketing guys, usually what emerges is total crap.
