I have a .30-30 336A. I will never sell that gun. Marlin makes great stuff.

ETA: .30-30 is one of the cheaper hunting-type rounds out there. Expect to pay about $7-$10 per box of 20 for cheap loads.

Is there any way to get bulk ammo really cheap?

I dont think i will ever own a lever action 30-30. I just dont see the appeal to it, not to mention i hate lever action.

PS i have shot a 3030 win94, still disliked it.

The 336 is a tried and true design .
If it had one limitation it was because
of the round nose ammo required for a tube
style magazine .

That appears to be a thing of the past , thanks
to Hornaday's new lever gun AMMO
2400 FPS and a 200yd zero . If true , this should add
some new life to a great rifle

i've seen hornadys new ammo but it still scares me. btw i've had a 336 in .35 rem since i was 12. it's a gun you can pass on to the next generation.
