Haven't tried the garlic.
Is it as good as the chipotle ?

It's not bad depending on what you use it with where as the chipotle can be used on damn near anything.

The garlic is pretty smooth use it mostly as a marinade booster or just before i pull chicken off the grill.

Try you'll like it.

I love it in beans. I buy the big bottles of it and the regular Tabasco. I wish they would put the garlic flavor into a big bottle as we use it more than any other.

Good stuff. Never had the garlic.
Link Posted: 11/21/2005 6:54:27 PM EDT
Chipotle is ok, but I do really like their Garlic pepper sauce.

Mix it with mayo for your sandwiches.

Hooked for life on the Chipotle....goes on everything, even cheerios.
Link Posted: 11/21/2005 6:55:54 PM EDT
Man, I got to try this!

Everything is Chipotle these days....WHAT IS IT? I'm out of the loop. On a similar note, has anyone had the Tobasco Cheez Its? I was hooked for a couple months - I had to quit cold turkey because I was eating so many of them.

that stuffs amazing, especially on a Chipotle burrito (from Chipotle. if you dont know what a Chipotle is, i'm sorry)

I like to use it when I cook, it gives me another option for imparting a smoky flavor to dishes other than liquid smoke or smoked food like bacon.
Link Posted: 11/21/2005 7:43:01 PM EDT
Yep, good stuff, especially on chicken I think.

A chipotle (chu pote lay) is a smoked jalepeno pepper.

www.gourmetsleuth.com/chipotle.htm

I buy them canned and add them to chili, tacos, etc. The canned ones come packed in adobo, which makes a good taco sauce, although it is a bit spicy.

Is it pronounced CHEE-POT-LAY or CHEE-POL-TAY? I hear it both ways on TV. I need to know before I buy the stuff.

only time I ever puked mex it had this sauce on it and it burned the shit out of my nasal cavities and throat on the way out

I say Chip-ottle just to tick off pronounciation nazis

Good stuff indeed! I love it on pickled herring and onions atop an original flavored Triscuit
Link Posted: 11/22/2005 8:36:12 AM EDT
I prefer the regular Tabasco. The chipotle version isn't bad but I don't like the smoked flavor on everything I use pepper sauce on.

the Garlic sounds interesting, but we can't find it here..wth?

Franks hot sauce with lime has become another staple here! I'm down to two Chipotle bottles / month!
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 3:53:20 AM EDT
Franks rules.

I used to be a Tabasco man, but I have been reborn!
