I loved that game. All the ones after didn't compare to the original.

I've been thinking of beating the original Metroid

Do those emulators run on winXP?

They should, yes. Get the Win version.

Download any NES Emulator, some roms, and a $10 logitech wingman rumble pad and you're good to go.  I've had problems running Nesticle, so I run Virtual NES.  Roms are all over the .net, just look up NES roms.

If you want to fight a million and 1 popups, dead links and other assorted bullshit.
Or, you could just ask your friend the 007 man and he'll upload them from his collection.

I used to be all about the old school NES games and had emulators and roms up the wazoo before losing them in the big reformat when my comp got infected.

Then I had my XBox modded and got emulators with every NES and SNES game ever released in the United States and a few that were exclusive to other countries (mostly Japan) on it.

In addition to that, I can now play DVDs on the XBox without paying $30 for a remote (imagine, just like my PS2. Suck it, Microsoft!) and the start-up and logo are bright blue instead of the usual green. With the flip of a switch, the mod chip is turned off and everything acts like a stock XBox.

I could use the mod to cheat at games (HALO and HALO 2 being the only games I have for XBox, and as far as I'm concerned, the only reason for its existence), but I'm not really into that.

Plus I don't really know how.

I love emulators and cheap controllers. NES, SNES, with four controllers we play lots of Super Bomberman 2 and Offroad on the NES and so on.

I have a TON of arcade roms (for MAME32), and a few NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 roms. I even have an Atari Jaguar emulator (that doesn’t work so well) to play Alien vs Predator!
