I posted this over at fivesevenforum.com and got this reply from a mod in response to the rumor....
So calm down folks...we are still on for first of hte year! CH |
UH guys...this thread is a bit misleading, I just called a person I deal with at FNH USA and they expect to release up to 200 of them by Christmas.....sales samples, samples for gun writers to try/review,FN employee guns and the like....very few are going to hit a gun shop.
Jan. is going to be the start of full production. |
As much as I want one, I am going to wait until the hoopla winds down. Then I will buy one. 6-10 month wait I figure. Oh well.
I'm gonna wait until I actually get to mess around with one before I go dropping that much money on a new gun
Kinda what is posted...uh right above your post! |
lol..one of those things, your post wasnt there when I started writing, but when I hit submit...there we both was.
Im gonna wait until I see them cheap on gunbroker, which shouldnt be hard, Il be in Iraq next year til summer 07'. I might even be squirrelly enough to buy both in the pelican carrying case.
First I've heard that one. Source? |
Which part? Cutting CL barrels or that the p90 barrles wont fit? |
Any distributor, other than Impact planning on selling them?
Jeff and John at CMMG along with Ken Flood<-FN Sales rep |
I heard RSR as well....Well thats what my rep told me anyway.
Well one thing for sure, if you buy one, be sure to stock up on extra mags, if Hillary becomes the first woman prez, things will get interesting. |
I have a plan already I just means buying a couple extra NIB guns and leaving then in the safe! CH |
RSR has them listed on their catalogue for dealers.
I will put in my order for them, just like I did for the Smith and Wesson M&P's. The 50 rd magazines are not cheap either. I'd guess that street price will be at least $50 for a 50 round mag. I will probably sell em for that with the purchase of the PS90.... First things first....get the PS90.... |
When I called Steve at RSR he put me on the list and will jsut have them shipped when they are in stock. The 50 round mags are currently going for $55-60 everywhere. I stocked up on those already. I dont plan on selling these in the shop, but will certainly show of the first one I get and will likely generate some orders! CH |
I'm still undecided on the PS90 due to the high price of 5.7mm ammo. If the realease of the PS90 drops ammo prices a little I might get one after all.
Abe |
It should end up around $15 per box after a while, once fiochi starts shipping |
Green is just SOOO last season, and it doesn't go with my shoes.... |
If Hillary wins I'll be making a lot of purchases on the early morning of November 3rd. Hell, I'll start stocking up the minute I hear she's a candidate. |
I'm definetly jumping on the F2k, but I'm taking a wait and see attitude about the PS90, if ammo drops I'll go for it, but this .30 a round is insane.
Started back when the bans sunset. Havent really stopped since. CH |
Well, I'll wait for the black/black version as well. I just don't like the looks of green on a firearm. Black, wood, stainless, blued, park'd, all good. gold/nickel/silver plated and colored plastic all look like crap to me. |
I think PS90 is a bit of a stupid designation - but this is good news!
I can't afford it, but, it's good to see FNs are finally getting into civilian hands. This PS90 would be a PERFECT SBR. |
p90 barrels |
I've also heard that the 50 mag wouldn't fit and it does. I'll wait and see. |
Yup, save me the trouble of dying it black. |
But did you hear that from FN |
Well hell............I just dumped some moolah on a 9mm AR carbine, and I guess I will just have to save some more...........for the FN 2000, and maybe a PS90
Will there be a communist version, without a hider?
That would be NY legal, only thing is the mags. Dunno if they plan on any 10 round mags. Whenever I move to America I could throw the evil hider on it and buy some mags. |
Yes, when I sent email a long time ago. As time passed it changed. |
10, 30 and the P-90 50rds. |
Will it be available here behind the iron curtain? It's not really a "pistol" grip, afterall. |
They look like they just might be a halfway decent zombie gun.
I imagine when I first see the FN2000 in a gun store I will be like a 16 year old girl in the 60's seeing my first beatles concert
I've already been seeing P-90 mags available at the Fun Show. Maybe they knew something? |
My distributor has both black and green listed already. |
You're going to scream, piss yourself, and faint? |
I think the PS90 would be a handy little gun, probably a good home defense weapon, if there were less penatrative and more terminally effective rounds available. (aren't there hollowpoint and soft point loadings available?) I'd probably dig the form factor a bit more if they did it in 9mm. Not sure if it would work or not.
Maybe in a couple years, if prices go down, and mags/ammo are available and cost less than a testicle, I might think about getting one. |
being semi-auto pretty much eliminates whatever practicality this weapon may have [as a PDW]. i still want one, but i'm going to hold off a bit. SBR'd though, i think this would be the perfect go-to weapon for my woman. she's only about 90-95#. |
