I think I'll put mine in the bank and save it. Since that isn't what we're suppose to do with it.

As much as I would like to add a DSA FAL or an Armalite AR-10 to the collection, mine is going toward a new 25 cu. ft. refrigerator with all the bells & whistles, filtered water, crushed ice etc., bought just this morning at Home Depot. The .308 will just have to wait till Christmas now, as the wife has promised to "help fund" another firearm investment. Guess I can't complain, she paid for my first AR in 1992. Best Christmas I ever had with that preban Colt.

I got $300 comming back, so not too much to spend on.
I have a new lower comming in, so going to spend it on building it up.  OR finishing my FAL off.  Or maybe a SAR-1 to complement the SLR-95.
My FFL has a custom 10/22 with a bull barrel for $250.
A Russian SKS for $255??

Or SEX,DRUGS, and ROCK AND ROLL!!!
Hooker for Imbroligo???
Give it to the Democats..........
Hell no!!

BeeKeeper, AFARR is a very EVIL man. Be Careful of him. [;)]
He pushes those Evil 50's on us mere mortals.  He pushed his Bennelli on me at the range a couple of weeks ago, and now i want one.
I want a 50 too, after meeting him and his collection.

Only $300, but it will find itself in the company of a little more money and I will use it to put together a good AR.  Exactly which AR configuration is still up in the air...  Probably go with a Cav-Arms lower and either a Bushmaster AK-AR upper or a J&T shorty upper.  Considering a Olympic upper (the broach cut barrel version) sometime later for dealing with ground-piggies.

A few weeks a ago I bought a SAR-1 and put it on my charge card so I guess I should probably pay if off. I was thinking about sending a picture of me with my SAR-1 to my Senators, I have a Couple of Liberal Democrats representing my state, and telling them thanks for the money to buy this.

I had a lawn put in my backyard.

The $600 won't even come close to covering the entire cost, but it helps.

Instead of letting me do my own taxes this year, my mother thought it to be more beneficial to claim me as a dependant.  So I'm only left with two things - 1.) Jack, and 2.) Shit.

I'm using it to help relieve the remaining small debt I have, so I am not a slave to the machine that steals my wealth in exchange for small toys purchased with money that could have been spent wiser.

That was a hell of a sentence.....

Perhaps you should all keep it in the bank since this "rebate" will either decrease your next year's refund or increase the amount due.

Sorry to spoil the fun, but you are spending next year's money, not a rebate from last year.

That said, go ahead and spend it. Just write your congressman and tell him you know the truth and you don't appreciate someone trying to fool you.

Unfortunately, I already spent mine, and I haven't even gotten it yet.  Mine (600) went towards half of my taxes/plates on my new-to-me pick-up.  I wanted a new HS2000, but my old chevy was almost 12, and I had had it for 10years.  I like my new Chevy, but I would have liked to spend it on something other than taxes and license plates.  The really sad part is I already spent my raise for next year too![>Q]

Gentlemen,

Please consider making a generous donation to the United Nations.

We are accepting donations at this time for a variety of causes, the foremost of which is the eradication of H.I.V./A.I.D.S. on a global basis.

H.I.V./A.I.D.S. has the potential to be the second biggest killer of our time, second only to small arms and light weapons in killing potential.

As your government has not seen fit to abide by the rules of civilized nations, and has voted to not support the global ban on illicit sales of weapons of mass destruction, I am not going to attempt to request your support of this particular issue at this time.

I urge you, also, to not further the proliferation of small arms in this world, by not making any further armament purchases.

We are doing it for the children.

Or , perhaps you could send a donation to your United Nations representative along with a note urging your government to pay your nations delinquent United Nations membership dues.

Surely, the citizens of the richest and most powerful nation on earth can see fit to help those in need.

Thank you.

I am  going to send it to the 2nd Amendment foundation or the Citizens Comitte for the right to keep and bear arms. I sent money to the NRA the last time I came into a unexpected windfall. Probably best to spread it around evenly so no one get too much.
Anyhow someone has to look out for you youngsters will not loose your gun rights. My safe is kinda full anyway, yuck, yuck, yuck.

I got the letter today telling me I am going to get $600 on the 9th.

Oh and I just got laid off today- for the second time this year...

Aint life grand?

Just like in Orwell's 1984, people think they are getting something but really aren't.

Sheeple one and all. The "lesser of 2 evils" has just shown how evil it can be.
