Haha that reminded me.  I met the lead singer of blues traveler several years back in a Denny's at 3 am.  Nice guy.  Actually thanked me for waiting till he finished eating before saying hi.  Everyone else didn't.  Not a man that I'd want to distract from food.

Here's another one,  R.D. Keever.  He used to supply horses for a lot of westerns.  He also played as a close extra (lots of close up camera time) in a lot of movies.  Lonesome dove and The Postman were probably the biggest two.

I met Bobby Knight when i was 5 years old in the IU locker room.  Don't remember it though.

Played in Lou Holtz's private jet when I was 9 (vaguely remember).

In college I waited on Lee Greenwood's table at an upscale casual restaurant.  His manager asked me if I knew any of his songs...didn't know a single one.  Now that I think about it...Lee Greenwood is probably only quasi-famous.

President Eisenhower when I was 8 and he was hunting ducks near Toledo. We cub scouts went to the airport in uniform to send him off with a salute.

Danced with Cynthia Patrick when I was 12. She was the star of "Attack of the Mole People". She had a balcony from which you could do shakespeare. That dance helped get me through puberty.

Ran into John Lithgow on a New York street last year. Didn't say a word, other than "commander", and gave him the 3rd rock commander's salute and kept walking.

While working in Hollywood doing set construction I was standing at a urinal when a very short old man came in and stood next to me. It was George Burns. When he was done I asked him for his autograph he said yes and  took me into his office where he talked to me for about 20 minutes. He was a very cool old guy.

While Doing set construction I also met very briefly:

Will Smith (Fresh Prince was one of the shows I worked on)

MC Hammer (I worked on one of his Taco Bell commercials)

Cybill Shepherd (I worked on a few of her make-up commercial)

Phil Hartman (I worked on a couple of his Cheetos Commercials)

I met Steve Jones (Guitar player for the Sex Pistols) sitting on his Harley in from of the Roxy on Sunset Blvd.

I got to Jam with Andy McCoy, the guitar player for Hanoi Rocks.

I've met Rob Halford a few times.

I'm sure there were more.

I don't get out much, but Dusty Hill from ZZ Top.

I met him at a little dive bar on Memorial Drive called the Burlap Barrel on Halloween night. He bought me two beers and we talked for about 30 mins.

Hell of a nice guy.

I also shared a few drinks with Houston Rocket Robert Reid and his wife at a club off Westheimer on Saturday evening. He introduced me to my soon to be girlfriend that night.

Again, really nice guy.

I don't like to admit this one. I attended same High School as Hillary Clinton.  I attended MaineTwsp. HS East, from 1962 to 1966 She was there from 1963 to 1964 until a new school, Maine South was completed. Don't remember much about her as she was a year under me, just that she was a rich bi*** from Park Ridge, IL . This may sound wierd but when President Kennedy was assainated I remember seeing her and other girls crying in the halls. When I asked what was going on some one said the president has been shot.

At a friends house on Thanksgiving Day 1967, I met Hugh O'Brian played "Bat Masterson"  a TV cowboy show from the early sixties.

I used to go to comic book conventions with my Dad before there were dedicated sci-fi conventions. I met almost all ofthe cast of the original Star Trek series, plus Gene Roddenberry, D C Fontana and a few others. Also met Martin Landau and Barbara Bain from Space:1999.

I've met tons of baseball and football players in Kansas City. The one who impressed me the most as being a really nice guy was Bo Jackson. The guy simply loves playing with kids. He is a really kind and decent man.

The biggest tool in KC sports is George Brett.

I saw Tom Cruise at LAX about 15 years or so ago. Shrimp.

I met about every IMSA sportscar racer between 1986 and 1990, including Mario Andretti. Easily the most gentlemanly of them all was Derek Bell. His partner for years, the late, great Al Holbert was a brilliant guy but could be a bit brash. He was a really neat guy to talk to about esoteric technical things, though. Pretty damn brilliant engineer, but taken from us too soon in an airplane crash.

Talked to Paul Newman many times at IMSA races. Pretty good race car driver. Genuinely funny guy. I understand he does some acting.

I met a bunch of astronauts in the early days of the Space Shuttle program, including John Young, Robert Crippen and Dick Truly. Astronauts can drink their body weight in alcohol.

Got to meet a lot of music artists in the early 80s too, as I would help a friend of mine set up for shows at the Uptown Theatre in KC. Arlo Guthrie, Anthrax and PeeWee Herman stand out.

I met Robin Olds. Cool guy. Lady killer.

However, the most impressive "famous" guy I ever met was Joe Pesci. Total class act all the way. This guy sings like an angel. Extremely cordial.

Just don't get on his bad side ... lets leave it at that.
