1st:  Thanks for serving!

2nd:  Question probably on everyone's mind, just not asked yet:

Do you have any 1st hand experience or know any info concerning gun confiscations there?

I didn't want to be the first to ask.
Politely waiting for the response.

Just asking politely x2--"Any word/experience on gun confiscations?"

Other questions:

1)  Have you witnessed any other military (armed, foreign)?  There are reports of : Mexican, Dutch, and others...

2)  Have you engaged personally in confiscating any weapons, gone door to door busting into citizens homes w/o a warrant?

inquiring minds...

JHill,  think for a second:

If FreeFalle has been confiscating guns, admitting it publicly could send him to jail, the poor house, or get him fired.

If Freefalle has NOT been confiscating guns when he's been ordered to, then admitting it publicly will get him fired as well.  His FACE is on this thread.

If he wants to report on other instances of illegal activity in uniform, that's his prerogative, but you can't expect him to expose himself to such liability.  I should hope he'd come forth anonymously if he had to though.

Free, I think you hold the ARFCOM record for the longest string of 'posts that do NOT suck'.

I always look forward to your threads - and this one is a good one.

Thanks, dude!

It looks about as dirty and nasty as always, does it smell the same?  I was at the Belle Chase RTC in 2002 to build some bunkers for the air guard.

Apparently, the words "New Orleans" are french for, "never flush the toilet or throw trash on ground."

Good job by the way.  The powers that be have decided we are just to damn far away to come and help.

Shit, I thought the place was supposed to be messed up. Looks a lot better than what I've seen here after a hurricane. (I know, flood damage)

Cool pics. My neighbor is down there helping restore electricty. He was home this weekend and told me he and his crew have taken potshots from thugs on the ground while in their "buckets." I hope that kind of stuff is about over now.

Get a clue.

That sign has been there long before Free.

Keep taking your Prozac - eventually, those black helicopters you keep seeing will turn in to butterflies.

Well I have a few more pics.

I have not seen or heard of any gun confiscations thus far, this doesnt mean that it didnt happen.

If it did it has stopped now and hopefully they will fry the asses that did it.

I dont have much time so I will post a few more pics.

Me and the Coast Guard Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral Allen.

I took him, his Aide and 2 nice looking FEMA ladies on a tour of the city today.

And a few pics of the Iwo-Jima and Bourban street.

This was taken before we entered New Orleans.

We stopped at a local Hammonds LA HS after a 3 day Convoy.

OK the third pic on page four, that looks like Mother's sandwitch shop????

Tell me I am right. Aparently the lady had a bunch of sons and all either served in the military or police/ fire dept. Some did both.

If it is, she makes a mean sandwitch, if it ain't, find Mothers and you are in for a treat. I bet a woman like her is up and running already......

The foreign military, the Dutch and Mexicans, are on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi with the Marines.  I hadn't heard of any being sent to New Orleans.  Local papers just say they are down there.
