Hunting for the table is the familys reason 2 generations ago.  Then hunting for a hobby.

For me, defense & hunting.  Poilticians, police, theives, murderers...  If the shoe fits, I don't discriminate.

Because I really get this warm fuzzy feeling when I look at a gun I like.  I then just have to have it.  Like a lost puppy that must be fed ammo and bathed in cleaner/gun oil.

Because I enjoy shooting, will not leave the protection of my family to others and most importantly
I BELIEVE THAT OWNING AND BEING PROFICIENT WITH FIREARMS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS.With freedom comes responsibility.

Recreational shooting and personal protection are both at 22.84%, but the bar for personal protection is over twice as long as the one for recreational shooting. Interesting.

What is the primary reason you own firearms ?

Never seen this question on any Form 4473.

I figure I own guns so I can Competitively Shoot my Hunting Collection, Recreationaly for my Personal protection.
