That one could be the Singapore Air Force. They have a group of CH-47s in the area, according to Singapore news they are working away in the New Orleans area. Canada has offered RCMP help in restoring order. I'm not too sure I know what to make of the concept of non-US personnel undertaking such duties, though I guess they could at least be 'deputised' to the standards of the military troops to the extent of 'Aid to the Local Power' NTM |

Ok. Just wondering. Thanks. |

Believe that is a MAK-90. Replacing the normal stock with a thumbhole stock made the otherwise banned AK something legal to import after Clinton signed the papers. |
LOL at the thug with the Red Rider! "You'll put your eye out!"
Nope! It's a Red Rider as mentioned above. Lol! If he points that at someone he's likely to get more than his eye shot out. Kinda like bringing the preverbial knife to a gunfight. |
Yeah, that absolutely is a Norinco Mak90, Mine used to look just like that before I shit canned the thumbhole stock for a pre-ban style. |
no. it really is a red rider gun. I had one as a kid. |
See why gun education is bad. If we educated democrates about gun, then they would know the good ones to steal. Nice bling bling on the bike. |
Yeah, that is whitout a doubt a bb gun, probably a Red Rider. |
I have shot a squirrel with my Red Ryder. Squirrel screached and just ran away. Its a fun BB gun, but its very weak. But it holds like 700 BBs, so I guess he could kill something if he shot it enough times. |

No joke. She was a ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak situation. I wonder how long it will be until the "Hurricane Hotties" thread. |
$20 says that the photo was staged by the photographer. |
he really should wear a more recognizable form of ID. right now he looks sloppy and unprofessional - like a looter with a "tommy gauge" |
Shows you how bad the threads have been latley. I read that and swore it sad "black". I had to do a double take. ETA I'm being serious. That was not ment to be funny. |

I bet you it gets named Katrina. AB |
At least he's still on the job. Don't know how professional and strac you can look after five days in 90+ heat, 90% humidity, up to your ass in sewage, poly uniform, probably little to no sleep, minimal water and food. Cut the dude some slack. |

That was one of the things that was eating Shep up. Hope the little girl turns out OK. She was running a pretty high fever when Shep found the mother and had one of his guys find an LEO. That guy came up and loaded a bunch of people in his shop and left. Took the baby from mamcita right there while Shep was talking to her. I think it's little glimpses of the personal struggles like this that keep the wieght of losing an entire city from being numbed over. |
I couldn't agree more. For lack of a better of a statement, it's as if the looters, the rapists, the murderers, and the rest of the dregs are ruining the tragedy of the disaster. It's the stories above that make me want to help and send what money and donations that I can. Then I see the negative sides of it and that's what makes me want to turn away. |

Those buses are all UNDERWATER...what makes you think they work? |
Excellent point...that mayor should be shot. |
I THINK, but I'm not really sure, that the point was you use the buses before they are underwater. At least that's the way I would do it. But hey, I'm not da mayor. ETA: Maybe he's saving them for the Regatta. |
Looking at that pic is shows the Mayor's ignorance when he is blaming the Federal Gov for all the hardship. |
I have a feeling they weren't underwater before the storm hit. |
Let me rephrase - I think he should be wearing a vest that says "Sherrif's Dept" in big yellow letters, so I, as a citizen know he isn't a looter. My comment was on the lack of ID, not on lack of professionalism. I do see how it could be taken the wrong way though. |
Aaaaaah, maybe use the buses before the hurricane hit... |
Yeah. I just really need to be the 5th person to quote this and state the ovbious. How about BEFORE the storm hit. I bet they we not underwater then. |
Alright, and I can see your point. He is wearing a NOPuD hat and a badge around his neck. That might be all that he has. For all we know, his jacket/vest/whatever is in his car under 8 feet of water or at home under 30. I don't remember if it looked like he was even wearing armor, and I'm pretty sure that he would want that if had access to it. |
The citizens were told to evacuate BEFORE the storm hit. If these people did not heed the warning it should not be the job of the city government to get people to leave. The thing that gets me about that picture is the fact that those buses were not moved to higher ground before the storm. That is a waste. |
Okay, but that would mean using LOGIC, which the local .gov obviously hasn't a capacity for. |
