got mine. 600.00 in september. I'd like to thanks the government for letting me buy another rifle with the my money they sent me back. Too bad the State of alabama is going to tax my F*(&^% money.

Actually if you read the back side of that letter it explains that you will get $300 or %5 of your taxable income "whichever is the lesser" . Im only gonna get about $160 dollars back! So much for a tax break!

i posted a Dow Jones News story the other day (it mysteriously dissappeared) that said 58,000 letters were sent in error, stating that people will get the "full" amount, when in reality they will be getting the "half" amount...don't worry though, our benevolent government assures us all that the checks themselves will be for the correct amount...so don't spend what you ain't got!!!

Mine said $300 by 8/13. $300 is about 2/3 of 5% of my total tax last year.

I'm single so the most I can get back is $300. [b]I paid in $56000.00[/b] Being tied to marital status was just a way to avoid giving the people who paid the taxes any relief. [b][red]I'm getting back .53% not even 1%![/red][/b] |
