Here's whats funny.  I'm southern  baptist.  I have gay and lesbian acquaintences.  I see no problem with what they do, as long as they keep it private, well the guys anyway.  What I do hate with a passion is homosexual people that think they are better than me in some way because they fuck their own sex.  Same as being black, mexican, muslim, or christian, it does NOT make you better than anyone else or entitle you to anything.

The entire "everyone's equal" mentality is what's wrong.  Everyone isn't equal.  The fact is that in order for everyone to be equal people must be "taxed" if you will to compensate for those who are their lessor.  In college I read a story [I think it was called "Eldon Bergeron" but I won't swear to it ] that was about a family who was the smartest and best looking.  In order to be equal in society the father had to wear thick eye classes and a goofy clown nose and a loud ring would sound off in his ear on occassion to disrupt his thought.  Similar things were placed on the other members of his family and the story was about how with these 'limitations' how they interacted in this "equal" society.  Great book.

Patty

I remember the story. I think Orwell wrote it.

Those that were smarter than others had to have an implant where loud noises happened every so often to keep them from being smarter. Those that were better looking had to wear hideous masks.

In the story two ballet dancers were performing, each burdened by hideous masks and heavy weights strapped to them so as not to be more graceful than anyone else. After a bit, they both shed themselves of their burdens and danced beautifully for a couple of moments, and were then gunned down by the equality police.

Equality is an over-rated concept.

Exactly.  Great story, very good point.  Patty

Isn't he the same jerk who stated to "his listeners" that if a gay guy looked him over he'd murder him then let God know he was dead? (Or somethig to that effect?) Nope, my bad, taht was another RRRR loony-tunes, Jimmy Swaggart, I get `em mixed up time to time, as BOTH (tend to) mostly spout bile and I have about as much... okay, little, respect for one as I do the other. Now I guess I NEED to keep `em "straight" in my head. (AS IF Swaggart would attract the attention... even NOTICE of any self-respecting gay man! <sheesh>! BUT! I haven't known WHAT to make of him from day 1. (Blackmail, perhaphs?)BUT, I DO know that a WHOLE BUNCH of (guys especially) who CLAIM to be VERY anti-gay... well, they SEEM to turn out to BE gay in REALITY years later, like the mayor in... washington state or was it Oregon? BIG time Republican, BIG TIME anti-queer. foamin' at the mouth and the whole deal... then "boom" he's "outed" as a queer hisself. Last name: "West". That, is just the latest of MANY, mind you, but he got quite a bit of press, and it was more than a bit ironic.

So WHENEVER ANYONE is foamin' at the mouth anti.... make me at LEAST go, "Hmmm....?" <shrug>

If you reverse a few things (I'm not Southern Baptist, not male, not str8) that sounds like me. I have NO problems w/ heterosexuals as long as they do NOT think because they "do" the opposite sex that this entitles THEM to "special Rights". See, THEY are PERMITTED to marry the individual whom THEY love, but many of them seem to NOT think I should be able to marry whom I love. So many of THEM think that they are better than I am, they are not, and in fact, are likely inferrior ( just a TAD, but they are less, IMO). But ANY str8 who thinks that we REALLY SHOULD ALL be TREATED equally, we are the SAME. Granted, I may have strengths that s/he does not, and vica versa, but IMO, it all equals out, eventually. But those hets who think that THEY are "special" burn me up.... same w/ the queers who think that THEY are "special" ticks me off.

This is NOT to say that I do NOT have any str8 friends who think "gay marriage" is a , I DO. They just haven't "seen the light" yet, and I'm a patient individual

My only objection to lesbians is that they're not inclined to let men join in the fun.  And yes,
we CAN be a lot of fun!

My objections to male-male encounters are much stronger and based on an urge to vomit.

OK, confession time....I arranged for a former GF to receive her first lesbian encounter, by means
of another girl I knew who was bisexual.   My GF had expressed an interest in trying that, and I
made it happen.

I was in attendance and got to watch and participate.

It was a HOT time for all concerned.     And my GF had SUCH a good time,  and I was happy that
I was able to bring it to her.

It was a one time fling...but I don't know what she's done since then and maybe she's bi now.
If so,  I'm responsible for corrupting her.     She DID have an awfully good time!

So did I.

I find it impossible to believe that you posted this reply...and posted the following, only one page earlier.  Do you not see how this is a contradiction in your beliefs????  And you have the gall to come into this thread on page 1 and vehemently condemn homosexuals???

CMJOHNSON WROTE:::

OK, I rise to the bait: You DID open the can of worms, after all.

I'm not the sort who would get in anyone's face and tell them that they're bad people just because
their sexual preference is abnormal, deviant, and goes against nature and everything I believe in.

I just wouldn't do it. You're not bad because you've got something scrambled in your sexual
preference division in your brain.

But I would say that I hope that we find the cure for the abnormality that is homosexuality,
and I DO believe deep down that it IS an abnormality and that it WILL be possible to CURE it at some point.

Are you high?  Or just really confused?  I would never indulge my "other half" in something I found morally disturbing.  That's like feeding the problem.

I believe you will find that Christians like myself have never proposed that homosexuals be treated as second class citizens. I am opposed to the idea of gay marriage for several reasons, but I have never argued that the bill of rights doesn't apply to those who choose homosexuality. Gay folks have as much ownership of the BOR as I do.

The problem is that the media has portrayed folks who believe as I do like we want to lock gay people in cages or some similarly stupid thing.

It never has been, nor ever will be true.

Homosexuals are people. As such, they have rights just like mine. They have the right to free speech. To free association. To sit on juries. To own property. To vote. The same rights I posess. No sane person has ever argued to the contrary....

Big +1 well said.

I know and have known plenty of gay people. Just as I don't bore people with stories of my "conquests" (of my wife ), I do not want to hear stories of picking up people from the same sex.

In other words, I won't flaunt my heterosexuality if you please do not flaunt your homosexuality. It's only fair.

Toys are nice, but toys aren't naturally warm and don't have a PULSE or change size and shape by themselves.

CJ

First, that makes no sense, given your stance. IF your GF's "fantasy" had been w/2 GUYS, would you have "indulged" her?

I (and I admit that it IS unfortunate) have ZERO interest in guys. I don't "do" toys. HOWEVER, if I DID "do" toys, I guess I'd say what most str8 women I know say, is that toys are FAR less complicated, they don't complain, you don't have to feed `em (unless they have batteries), toys don't "loose" their erection, and you don't have to reciprocate. <shrug>

Actually, here's the actual list.

Top Ten Reasons a Dildo is Better than a Man
Always hard all the time
No limp-dick performance anxiety, no shriveling up in the middle of the action, no oops-I-did-it-again premature ejaculation. A dildo's a hard-and-fast friend like no other.

You can have whatever size dildo you want.
Whether you like 'em long and slender or thick as a fist, there's a dildo available that will fit right in. Try finding a man who can do that.

Double - or triple - the pleasure
You can have multiple dildos without any jealousy or competition. Use one dildo one day, another one the next, or even switch mid-stream. No worries about bruising any fragile male egos. You can even fuck yourself with more than one dildo at once without the bed getting crowded.

Instant On
Dildos are ready to go when you are. You’ll never have to play with your dildo to get it hard enough to fuck you.
No childish whining about not wanting about showers with raincoats on

A dildo's the ultimate safe sex partner. Of course, if you want to put a condom on it to keep it clean, it won’t complain that it can’t feel anything.

A dildo can hit all the best spots.
With no unnecessary man attached, it's easy to maneuver your dildo to hit all of the right spots. You can even get a dildo specially designed to stimulate your G-spot; good luck finding a guy with a dick curved correctly to do the job. Best of all, it will keep hitting the right spot for as long as you want, and won't keep asking "did you come yet? did you come yet?"

A dildo won’t wake you up with morning wood.
Unless you roll over on top of it during the night, you won’t wake up to find your dildo poking you in the back. In any case, it won’t be wanting to get back in your cooter before you’ve even got your eyes open.

Dildos only squirt if you want them to.
With dildos, squirting jizz is optional. If you enjoy the effect, you can get an ejaculating dildo. Otherwise, you can skip the muss and fuss.

Dildos are easier to keep clean.
Dildos don’t have smegma and don’t get sweaty and gross. If you dildo starts to smell funky, just rinse it in the sink or toss it in the dishwasher.

Downright Inexpensive
Sex with men is expensive. Add up the condoms, birth control pills, breath mints, and Viagra, and even the most expensive dildo turns out to be a real bargain.

JW777, FWIW, I respect you FAR, FAR more than Beloc....(not that that's actually SAYING much, I realize - but that's not saying something about YOU as much as it's a statement about Beloc). And it was quite a while ago, so I'm not certain WHAT you refused to answer (directly) specifically. (Bellocs I recall one of MANY, MANY) YOU TEND to answer most things pretty directly. But sometimes you get elusive, I can only think of a couple TIMES, apparently the topics weren't "hot" (verbal combat-like) enough to stick clearly in my memory. Sorry, shouldn't have put you in the same category as Beloc. Should have been more clear in the initial post. I respect you TO A POINT, but I don't as much as some who are just very direct (even the asshats). IMO, it's a "quirk" of mine, I just LIKE direct - I equate it (for good or ill) w/honesty. Some people don't LIKE direct - they see it as "abrupt" or "foreward", possibly even "rude". I don't, I prefer not to have to "decipher" and "read between the lines" too much like "game playing", IMO. Moral of the story: "Not EVERYONE is gonna be "pleased" 100% w/you, fortunately that's not YOUR problem."

But I'll remind you of this thread next time you "duck and cover"

I have been accused of many things in my life.

Reticence has never been a charge leveled against me.
