Its NOT elitist.

Its the people who pay the bills get to decide how the money is spent.

That's not elitist. You thinking your $276 of annual income tax buying you the right to call the shots is Marxist.

Ecc 9-[11] I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
[12] For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
[13] This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
[14] There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
[15] Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
[16] Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
[17] The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
[18] Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

I'm not down on women. I love my wife.

But 90% of her political views come from a desire to please me.

Basically, women will conform to whoever they want to please.

Truth is, LOTS of women want to please Tom Crusie / Brad Pitt, and if Brad Pitt comes out with some braindead political opinion - BINGO - they'll follow along.

You have a master.  Its called the police(or the laws themselves).  And if you decide you want to own illegal firearms,  you can very well be put in jail for a good portion of your life.

There is no occupying army?  There are 11 + million unaccounted for illegal aliens living in the country.  That means that even if only 10% of them are hostile or influenced by a foreign government,  they would still rival our entire Armed Forces as far as numbers.

Wait so now any nation that has laws is enslaved?  That's an absolutely insane premise.

11+ million people are not an army, if they banded together and acted in concert then you could continue with that thought, but they don't so it's not a valid arguement.

The fact that you can't prove that the moons core isn't made of green cheese doesn't allow me to claim that it is.  You need to show that America IS a defeated enslaved country to make your point rather than attempting to make it via the lack of proof to the contrary.

Reasoning through logical fallacy is not reasoning at all.

And do you realize what 100 thousand illegal aliens can do? Nevermind 11 million.  Or even 1 million. 100 thousand of them.  lets say Islamic Jihaders.  Do you know how much destruction just a small amount of them could do?  Especially in any half assed coordinated attack.

the US is much larger, more places to hide, and more armed citizens for an invader to deal with
use the arms we do have to get weapons from the military after ambushing and killing patrols

Ladies and Jellybeans, If we come to this state we have much larger problems to deal with. We must work to avoid this scenario.

I predict that our men and women from this current conflict will have a huge political impact on our next 25 years.

Let's support them actively, dialogue with them, and keep moving forward.

PS:   I am impressed, and appreciate, how many 20 somethings (including our original poster) look at their world, at what the constitution says, and wonder why we didn't do more to protect it.

I have wondered the same thing.  I think that many of us just get caught up in trying to raise families and be good husbands and fathers.  It's just plain hard to bang a drum 24/7 and go to work at the same time.  No excuse.  We must do what we can.

HKS, did you KNOW that the NRA told President Reagan
to SIGN the FOPA bill in 1986?

He asked the NRA if he should sign it, and they emphatically
said YES.

The MG ban was slipped in there by the liberal asshat democrats
and at that time, there was no chance of both Houses of Congress
to agree on the same bill without the ban on later sessions of Congress.

It was all or NOTHING.

Im not a member of the NRA nor do I like them. They have so many members, and not once have they organized,  armed,  and revolted.

I am dead serious about the 2nd Amendment and my personal Freedom.

I am willing to fight and die to preserve my Constitutional rights if I have to.  I dont want to live or have my children live in a world where they are told what to say,  how to say it,(which is where I see the country going)  and are living in a world controlled by centralized standing armies( that we have now) with their security being provided to them.

You are with me or against me.

What else do we have besides our lives?  It is important to fight for freedom.  "Those willing to give a little personal freedom for temporary safety deserve neither life nor freedom" -Benjamin Franklin.  And I agree with that.

Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty

Organize, train, communicate, it is this trinity that shall deliver us from bondage.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams
