The new school my kids are going too has a nursery for new mothers right in the front of the High School. They also have posters of "What Crack/Cocaine will do to you." My children have never been exposed to that before.

It's not unheard of, at all, for teenagers to hook up with each other in youth groups and other church activities. Teenagers want to have sex with each other. And they're probably going to do just that. |

High Schools in some of the middle and upper middle class lily white school districts here have nurseries setup for students as well as special programs for pregnant students. Forty years ago girls in the local Catholic girls high school were getting pregnant too. The only difference was they threw them out of school. They also threw pregnant girls out of the public schools as well.

That should still be happening. It should not be treated as a normal expected situtation, to be lovingly cared for. I want my girl not to do that, but should she be doing it I want her to fear being pregnant and it's consquences like she would fear the angel of death. |

The fact that 104 of the 586 babies born to Canton residents in Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center had mothers between 11 and 19 is sickening.
 Where is the accountability?I'm 23, so high school is still pretty vivid. One girl in my class got pregnant then it seemed like a support group immediately popped up as about 5 other girls got pregnant, too. I don't condone it, but I'm not perfect, either. If you're gonna do it, do it right and you can avoid the pregnancy in the first place. I look forward to having kids, but it scares me, too--especially when I read stories like this. |

WTF, OVER! I did know one girl that did have a kid and dropped out. I knew a girl taht did drop out but I didn't know that she dropped out to have a kid until she came by the food pantry I volunteer at to get food. 1 pregnancy at a high school is unacceptable. 2 or 3 is unacceptable. 65 is extremely unacceptable. |

Reminds me of the story about the Navy experimenting with a all female crew years ago. Had three guys on board for training and like 40-50 women. They went out on a cruise and when they came back 8 were pregnant. As in the case here somebody is going to be paying out a bunch of child support. At the high school mentioned it was probably the work of like 5 guys, now that would be funny.

I graduated from from a high school about 25 minutes from Timken High School and it is just as bad. Girls in high school will open up their legs to any guy that says they love them. And if that doesn't work, all the guy has to do is say he hates her and she will open up her legs to keep him from leaving.
It's freakin pathetic. And you can bet your ass it is the parents. Believe me, parents are either getting dumber or just don't give a hoot anymore. |

Pregnant teens get paid schooling or nurseries, illegals get a driver's license, convicts get degrees, alcoholism is a disease, you can't hit your kids, gays getting married, more jobs get shipped overseas, Hillary gets elected.....sooooo much bullshit I have to breath through my mouth.</venting>

lmfao It takes 2 to tango. Exactly. 64 girls in HS that 1 of 2 things happened: 1. They used protection and it didnt work. (Myself and I'm sure everyone else on this board rules this one out) 2. They didnt use any protection as being the girls are whores and got themselves pregnant. (Which I'm sure any sane/reasonable member here knows what happened)

In the early 90s the Navy hadn't yet integrated ship's crews with women, but they wanted to send women to sea, so they had submarine tenders with all female crews. Some of the sub tenders supported nucleur armed subs, which required that the nukes be secured. The end result was that some all female crewed sub tenders had a USMC Security Forces detachment aboard, consisting of a platoon sized group of Marine grunts. The Marines assigned to USMCSF Bns at the time called them "Love Boats", and for good reason. |
